Very clear and informative. I have a problem with a gogo elite traveller where the reverse has swapped over to forward and also cuts out on full throttle. Initially I accidentally shorted out the controller trying to rectify another fault. Now having changed (second hand) the controller the above fault occurred. I'm wondering if switching wires might rectify my problem. Thanks in anticipation

Hi Check speed pot as it works together with the throttle pot

I watched all you videos and learned a lot about my Pride Mobility scooter V3. My problem my be one of the two pots or both. It will go in reverse but not forward. I can hear the brake click and release but the motor doesn't start when I push the forward lever. I swapped the wires to the motor and it will go forward when I push the reverse lever. Can you help me identify the problem? Thanks Jack

How I can order one throttle pot speed controller for a scooter mm-222 the hole assembly?

I had that once with my mobile, at full speed it got slower and faster again, but I don't think it's the same with every model when I got another senior mobile it wasn't anymore and it wasn't with the successors either. My dealer told me it was the potentiometer.

Tom I have a question I have a drive Spitfire it's a little bit older model when I turn the key on it blinks eight times and then it stops for a second and it continues to Blink eight times can you tell me if you know the code of why it's blinking that many times it will not go forward or backwards the battery gauge is works the key turns on to Horn works but no engaged to go backwards or forward battery is fully replaced

Just purchased a sterling sapphire mobility scooter from a charity shop. It moves slower than I can walk forwards and in reverse it seems the same speed if not faster, no matter how the speed pod is turned from minimum to maximum. The scooter is a constant but smooth interrupted ride on and up the pavement. Will changing the 4mph speed pod to an 8mph speed pod allow for a faster scooter? if not how can I change from 4mph to 8mph on the same scooter? my scooter a shoprider cadiz drives forward or reverse for six inch then cuts out and starts to bleep constantly , any ideas

looking for help, i have a TGA BREEZE S4 and the 8 amp charger is missing, looking at the port on the machine with my meter there are 3 pin slots now the top left show it as positive top right show negative with the inhibitor pin below. now when i look at chargers they show the mail donnection looking at the end as if it would when pluged in mean the negative pin would plug into the possitive pin on the machine so could you please advise me which type of charger 3 pin connection should i use. the barreries ar 75 ah

Tom I have a drive medical 4 wheeled scooter, it goes beautifully in forward but reverse it only goes a few feet and stops. Turn key off and back on it goes afoot or two and stops. Any suggestions as to what I might look at. Tested the throttle pot and seems to be good.

to find out if its the pot i would reverse the 2 outside terminals of the pot. then the reverse lever will make it go forward and the forward will make it go in reverse. if it then goes forward with the reverse lever it could be a dirty motor or brushes. if it does not drive in forward with the reverse then its the throttle pot. and we have stock for next day delivery.

Very informative clear videos, thank you. I wonder if you can help solve my problem. Friends Sterling Sapphire, arrived not working except for horn, lights and battery guage. Wigwag suspected as multi meter showed erratic readings. After disconnecting and reconnecting horn and lights work but battery guage doesn't. All 4 fuses ok, batteries fully charged. There was a day or so between disconnection and re connection. When I turned the ignition the guage went up to full and then just dropped back, I assumed this was because the wigwag wasn't connected so replaced wigwag and still doesn't work. Would you have any suggestions please? Thank you

There are 2 types of saphire / Saphire2 so if you have the Saphire2 check all the Anderson connectors where the battery 1. Joins to to other 2. Where the battery joins into then main loom connectors check each of the red and black connectors there is a small metal tap inside them also look for Brocken /melted Plastics. Hope this helps

@@tomjacques4 thanks for your speedy reply, it's not a sapphire 2 unfortunately, I have checked all connectors and battery terminals, all seem to be in good condition, the headlight and tail lights work and so does the horn but that is all!

Hi, You gave me a comment on what to look for on my mobility scooter, shoprider,. When changing the speed control pod, I noticed the wiring was also connected to a further pot which the black and white wires but nothing else is it connected to, there is no knob to turn control . It is fitted under the handle bar on the right next to the wig wag control, I have no idea what it controls , do you have any ideas, it seems to be an additional speed pot, but,🤔.

It’s an extra pot that you can slow the scooter down or set the max speed

I've a question. Can you adapt the forward and reverse lever with a push button? I was thinking 1 button for forward and 1 for reverse Only asking because my mother in law had a stroke and lost the ability to operate the reverse lever

Hi Great reliable scooter with quality suspension. wiring is a nightmare when you have to work on them. not done much on them though only loom replacement and controller otherwise great machine..

Great channel mate will done.. My father in law has the s4 breeze nd im his one man pit crew lol but I'm not very good with cars never had one I like to walk nd electrical stuff to risky.. But I'm a wizard with everything else..BUT I can't seem to work out this problem nd I couldn't seem to find the answer anywhere.. His head light is not working but all other lights are working fine.. I check the headlight nd it works fine when it's getting power.. I completely pulled this scooter apart check everything with multimeter but couldn't quite isolate the issue.. The old man just wants me to run a wire from light to the brake lights nd it will just work that way.. Have you got any inside knowledge that I just haven't thought of.. Cause I do think it is able to work in just not finding the fault

Check the throttle pot, it’s not centred correctly or it’s faulty. We do sell them if you require one ☝️

Can you please advise me. Mom has a shoprider scooter with a motor numbered (M2-8MNW-2). I am having trouble finding a replacement motor of the same number. Is there a compatable alternative I could use please.

@@tomjacques4 There is only shoprider written on it. Is there anything else I can check to make sure? It has the square control box with the led strip bar power indicator and twiddly variable resistor.

Hi, great video and it's helped me to narrow down my issue. But i need your help. The issue i face is - my wheelchair controls have gone in reverse. When i go forward - it goes back. When i go back - it goes forward. But also, the speed won't go up for forward now, only the reverse speed goes up. So basically, i move top speed backwards but my forward is locked to reverse speeds. The wheelchair i have is I-Go Crest CSS. It uses the Joystick Hand Controller DK-REMD01. Could you offer a solution? Is there a way to fix this myself or is it beyond my ability? I don't know how to reprogram it nor do i have a device for it to do that. Thanks!

@@tomjacques4 Hey thank you for taking time to reply to me! No work has been done on the powered chair, only new batteries but it's been working fine since they were replaced. I put the wheelchair on charge and after i took the lead out, i turned it on and it had switched. The left and right work as normal. The only thing that has switched is the forward and reverse. And the forward speed is now reverse speed and when i go in reverse - it's in forward speed. I can go faster going backwards. The issue only just happened. I have taken the battery out, i have tried locking and unlocking it. Nothing changes. Thanks and i hope you are able to help

@@thovzerothirty9891 very odd mate as changing batteries and charging should not do that. Ok maybe 💦 water damage. ? And definitely no wires have been removed ? Maybe an internal joystick problem, did you hit the joystick knob off a table top ?

@@tomjacques4 Hey sorry for late reply! I brought a brand new joystick controller and cable. But still the forward and reverse are - in reverse. So i am once again at a loss. We can rule out the controller? So after that i dont know what else could be making it do this? Thanks for helping!

is there meant to be any play in the wiglewagle thing? mine has quarter of an inch

some are different than others mind you should be solid against the spring and should not move around. the deadspot can be adjusted via programming the main controller.

It may not even work or it may stop working when being moved. Or the scooter may slow down and accelerate by itself.

With the joystick all the way forward it will start to go then it is like it shuts itself off but the lights stay on it blinking 7 times

You could yes but not recommend. It’s the wear of the tracks. Have been told of some that have done that but did not last long. If you want reliability then replace.

Does anybody know where i can get flash codes from?! I cant find the manual anywhere I have a Electromotion UltraGlide 8mph thats doing 3 flashes pause then 2 flashes I have put new batteries in and all the lights indicators and horn are working Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏

The flash code will depend on what controller you have fitted there are quite a few different ones. So with this in mind what controller is fitted

They are a rebadged comfort coach they use an egis controller

@@davefiatforum sorry Dave your wrong there. The Ultra Glide is yes a rebadged scooter from pride and was actually called celebrity 2000 still have one on the shelf for parts. And is fitted with a 70amp Curtis controller. The comfort coach /Legend Classic is a 4mph scooter and was also fitted with the S drive depending on year of manufacture. Hope this helps.

@@theinternet8853 hi what has the writing on it what part you talking about. You never got back to us regarding what type of controller but if your is a Curtis then 3&2 means check electric brake or micro switch ensure it’s in drive. Regards Tom
