Throttle Actuator Service Toyota Tundra 2000-2006

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is how to properly service your throttle body actuator and plate on a 4.7L V8 Toyota Tundra between the years of 2000-2006. Anyone can preform this repair and save a loads of money! This was performed on a north American vehicle however, the international versions should be really similar if not the same.

This video shows exactly what I needed to get my 2004 Toyota Tundra running again. My thottle body actually looked like it wasn't very dirty. It must have been much-needed cleanup that was not visible. I highly recommend this being done. It can be done completely in about a hour and shorter time if all the tools are laid out in advance. The cover is good to put parts in. Some people like to replace the screws, bolts or nuts so they don't forget where they go. Personally, I've lost them trying that, down on the motor somewhere never to be found. Thanks for the awesome information.

@@phslion Negative. It occurs most often when I tow my boat/trailer on the freeway and get off on an exit. As soon as I release the gas pedal it dies. I have to wait several minutes sometimes for it to restart. Also, if I drive about 15 miles and then let the truck idle for over 20 min, it will die at idle. It has something to do with pulling RPMs above 3000’ish and then the truck can’t recalibrate to the lower RPMs.
