Genuinely fun game. Bit more of a puzzle than you might expect while you figure out optimal builds for each scenario, but very fun.

This game reminds me a surprising amount of Kingdom Two crowns expanded to be top down, I played a lot of Two Crowns and I feel this game could be GREAT for me

Totally agree

The type of shading is known as cell shading, the shader does not create gradients of increasing / decreasing brightness levels. Instead it adds or removes a static amount of brightness based on a sharp 'lightness' cutoff. This causes the creation of 2 distinct lightness regions

THIS is what I’ve been thinking since I first saw the game. Huge on switch too, but it really seems like a bomb mobile game

This is giving me big Bad North vibes, as in the mechanics are just complex enough to be engaging but not so complex to be exhausting, guaranteeing that I rot in bed playing it for 16 hours straight

been looking for a new take on the TD genre for awhile now. This is certainly gonna scratch an itch.

so glad you played this one. it's so addicting once you get into the groove, so balanced and so so fun with all of the builds to try

At 16:00, wouldn't "Units can attack while you command them" explicitly mean "while moving"? When you are moving troops, you are actively commanding them. Moving them to a different spot and leaving them there wouldn't be 'actively' commanding them. Also, there would be no point to that particular part of the tooltip if it didn't mean 'while moving'... as they already attack when stationary. We can also look at it from a "what was the developer's intention" point of view. Essentially the upgrade seems to be "Become a One-Man Army" or "Mobile Swarm Tactics" choice.

You make this game quite entertaining to watch, Contrarian Agoraphobian. I think you've checked out Kingdoms and Castles before, but I'd recommend checking out the steam mods for that game in maybe a year? There's a neat 3D terrain mod that needs to performance and bug fixes, but is otherwise very very cool. Also some better army command mods.

I'd absolutely love it if you were considering playing Stranded: Alien Dawn at some point :3

macromanagement is a word ppl use, well in RTS games its used alot anyways like in starcraft or C&C and its based on how fast you can build units
