I’ve been to NFLD 22x. We live in downtown Toronto. I love the calmnest and slower pace in NFLD. I only miss the access to certain food items that are more readily available in Toronto. Having said that it’s way better now sourcing then even 5 years ago.

Good to hear a Ghanaian perspective. I just felt in love with the town from day one. I've applied to MUN and looking forward to get admission hopefully in fall 2024.

I find that immigrants that are brave enough to come to Canada are usually very determined and successful. My grandfather came to Canada from Kiev Ukraine in 1929 to avoid Hitler. He was an engineer but in Canada he was a farmer of a square mile of land.

Canada is generally cold during the winter, and there are many places colder than St. John's NL during the winter. It's best to weigh the cost and benefits before you make the decision. Wishing you the best.

Let me guess. Given all the government assistance possible. Access to more loans and grants. meanwhile real Newfoundlanders live on the streets.
