Hi man nice vid. Just to say though I think I worked out that the ko decision isn't made by the game as to whether you get up. I might be wrong but if you try and face the voice of the counting referee that will bring you back. And I think you can last several knock downs. I might be wrong and Apols if you knew this already.

I love Thrill of the Fight. I haven't played a ton, but managed to get KO wins through the first 3 difficulties. I haven't worked the last difficult yet however, it's about 350 punches to get a TKO on Money maker. A couple of those and I'm tired. I also really like the tracking it gives you for the punches.

8 out of the 12 girls (My fiance, both sisters, 3 cousins, and 2 friends) that played Thrill of The Fight on my quest either asked me or were disappointed to hear that there are no female boxer opponents. Although I think they should add female boxers, I don't blame them if for not doing so; because Mainstream "Game Journalism" is plagued with entitled, idiotic, ignorant, and scummy "Game Journalists" that weaponize cancel culture to get views through ridiculous claims. They'll say this studio hates women and encourages violence against women and label it a "Violence Against Women Simulator" that conditions young males to think it's okay to hit women or something ridiculous/ignorant like that. Nearly all of the youtube comments and game reviews left by women gamers almost always include an interest in/request that female boxers get added as an option.

I have to agree, both are amazing. Thrill of the Fight will give you a real workout though. I practice martial arts and i am used to heavy conditioning training and sparring. When you progress in Thrill of the Fight and you get five 3 minute rounds youre going to be completely drained. Youre basicly going all out for 15 minutes. It took me two weeks to get the champ and i had to do rest days to heal my muscles which is insane considering i do this in real life as well haha. My pulse was at 150 bpm after taking out the champ and i took a shower, came out.....sweat still pouring from my face. Insane workout! (Keep in mind i do power punches for those 15 minutes! i give it my all!) The pro for Thrill of the Fight is that ability to move around in the ring, feels really natural. Cant wait for the sequel which will feature multiplayer as well! Creed has that fun factor though, punches sound great and is just a bit easier fun while Thrill of the Fight.....well you need to be physicly ready :P

Played thrill and am loving it. The box is the size of your guardian so if you have a decent play space you can move around a fair bit. Played four matches yesterday. 3 mins round 3 rounds total. Shadow boxing with intensity is an amazing workout. I’m in decent Shape but by the end of the fourth match I was sweating a lot, my limbs ached, I was done. Today my back and shoulders are aching with that awesome muscle fatigue workout feeling. Like I did an hour in the gym. So much fun. Get yourself a sweat guard for your VR headset and just let loose. I boxed years ago and I’m trying to throw the best punches I can and not rabbit punch like it’s a video game and I have to say you really feel it if you take it seriously. I’ve seen other comments about the difficulty in knocking out but maybe that’s later fights. I’m only at the start and I knocked out all four so I’m not sure on that. I’m throwing serious punches though and going full tilt. I think it’s yellow for the big hits and blue for regular. Either way you can KO for sure plus the tech measuring the punches seems very good

There are a huge amount of adjustments that you can make in the custom fight difficulty settings that'll allow you to cater the experience to best fulfill what you're looking to get from it, shaping your opponent into whatever feels best to you. In the main settings you'll also find that it can make a tremendous difference when you get your gloves aligned properly. The other couple of big adjustments in the main settings are the wrist modifications, which I have turned on as to not allow for exaggerated reach distances which forces me to move my feet. I don't think it's the one called simulate taped wrists, but the other one that's not just off. Then perhaps most importantly, turning the automatic punch power calculator on and off. When off, you can select your own set multiplier instead of having the algorithm constantly recalculate what it thinks you should have. I currently have mine set at 1.4 base and 1.2 hook. I really enjoyed the video and will be back to check out more of your XR content. Cheers.

Once you have the stamina for thrill of the fights four three minute rounds (or beyond, I'm only up to that level), I think creed's rounds seem too short (maybe this changes later in the game, I refunded an hour in because I didn't want to lose $30 if I was just going to go back to thrill of the fight for my cardio). The breaks seem too long for the length of fight so you don't get to the same level of exhaustion that thrill of the fight makes you go through.

In thrill of the fight at least on normal if you throw punch after punch and you can overwhelm your opponent and take no downs even if you only block like 35% of their hits. The first 2 enemies I fought were on easy and the game was far too much of a cakewalk there. I did the 3rd on normal and he was the first enemy to last into the second round with me. Most of the games in VR have the same patterns..a lot of WOW factors because of the graphics and FX effects but no real challenging gameplay nor performance. You help me identify the game Creed:Rise to Glory falls into this category. Which honestly is a waste of money ..Why would I pay 30$ to only play an exhibition or demo game..it’s ridiculous these type of games actually cost money another game like this is Spider-Man Vr. If you set your guardian to room scale and draw a bigger boundary, you can have a ring, a small ring, a medium, ring, a large ring etc. The only problem I ha e genuinely found is you can't lean back out of range with your head, because the tracking simply assumes you walked backwards and are stood straight/stationary in the headset. if you do any Mayweather/Willy Pep lean away move, the opponent just move into thw space where your body is lol. It means the game promotes blocking much more than ducking and diving, at least off the back foot.

One last thing on Thrill of the Fight is you want to turn off the auto adjust punching power setting and set your own multipliers...then you wont' have that problem where you feel you should've knocked the guy out with a vicious combo but he's still standing. @@gamerdad7980 It's personal preference and something you'd tweak as you keep playing the game. Me and my buddy use 1.2x for both at the moment and fighting on Normal setting. There's numerous reddit posts you can reference for suggestions... The important thing here is that it will be a constant setting through the fight as opposed to having the CPU adjust it on the fly for you based on how well you are doing. We had the same frustration as you did where you feel like you should be dropping the guy based on how the fight is going yet you aren't... Making this setting change eliminated that issue completely... and made the game immensely more fun as well as now you have a solid barometer on how you are doing and how you are improving from day to day.

My go to combination was left / right body shot then when they dropped there guard, I hit a wallop of a right cross. I would always seem to get a yellow hit out of it, sometimes a red. It's easily my new, favorite workout right now. I do what's called DDP Yoga to loosen up, then I put on Creed first because I really like the training montages and it's more of an arcade experience, then I do Thrill of the fight, which is an intense workout. I can burn close to 1000 calories doing all that

I am in love with Thrill of the Fight, totally obsessed. Im not in the best shape so it's a great workout, I do a fight or two every evening. I've gotten pretty good at knocking out my opponents, as far as I can tell, three knock downs in a round will score you a knockout win, I'm now making my way through all opponents on outclassed difficulty, and even got a knockout win over Melky on outclassed, feel like an absolute champion

I'm on the path to do the same. Except I'm trying to get knockout wins on all difficulties. Currently on endurance and trying to knock out Felix but its a challenge. Any ideas/tips?

@@ValentineCrescent tips wise, I'd recommend volume/variety punches to score knockdowns. There are weak spots (temples, chin) aim for temples when they guard the face, then work the body to move their guard around and expose weak points. Keep your head and feet moving if you have enough space as they can put you down in two shots on tougher difficulties. I was just knocked OUT by Vega on endurance difficulty in one body shot! Went straight back in and KO'd him for my revenge lol. Lastly I tend to box southpaw mostly, but choose whichever stance you're most comfortable with

Thrill of the fight is brilliant! LOVE IT! :-) Now that my quest 2 is in for replacement i`m having withdrawals. TIPS FOR VR FIGHTING: I wont tell you how to punch or how to beat the game, i am however going to tell you about a underlying principle that is the most important to all martial arts. I do grappling, so i dont have any boxing technique. So i would get my ass handeled to me be any boxer with training. But because i remember to breathe and pace myself i do 10 times better then my brother who does not. Believe it or not, but by relaxing your muscle when fighting (Aka not tensing up) you will see a huge fucking improvement. I dont mean that you should relax and not go hard or punsh soft, but dont be tense unless you need too. when punching hard you want the tenseness because it puts your body and resistanze into the punch. But that only lasts for like 0.5 secconds helps ALOT when it comes to not gassing out. Most new BJJ guys use about 3-6 months just learning to not tense up and spazz. Maybe even longer. It might sound strange, but everybody forgets to breathe. When i spar against new people i always, without exception remind them that they have to breathe. When i watch new people box i see the same thing. Look at sprint runners faces when they run. All the face muscles are relaxed, every bit of energy goes to the sprint. When you relax and are not all filled with adrenalin and gassing you can actually use your brain and think. And when you do that you learn twice as much. Pace yourself, know when it is good to use your energy. Sometimes the pay for your energy is low. You can learn to see when the return "profit" is high: GO TIGER GO! Spend that energy when your spidey sense tingles like my balls when i dance. Too sum up: - REMEMBER TO BREATHE - Dont spaz, relax your muscle - Pace yourself
