My mom had one of those red vases (@17:10) when I was in high school, early 70's. We had a 'formal' living room, not allowed to go into it. Red carpet, white sofa, gold upholstered chairs and draperies that mom had made. They were better quality than a custom drape store. What sweet memories.

We had a big family cookout this past Friday when family came in from NC. I used my Vintage Crackle Glass for potato salad, and a Vintage Wexford Glass Serving Bowl for my coleslaw. I then pulled out my MCM Chip Bowl and of course filled it with chips. They usually just sit in my cabinets. I needed big bowls for that crowd. I got them all at a little church thrift store for less than $5 a long time ago. They usually just sit in my cabine It's fun bringing out the Vintage things. I love both of the art work pieces, and the owl. I would start a collection of owls if I had the space. I used to do ceramics way back in the day, and now wish I still had the pieces I made. So much fun. Thanks for taking us along. I don't get to go much anymore, but it's fun seeing you get excited just like I do, when I find that special something.

Thank you Anastasia, The traffic was pretty bad. I stayed home as much as possible but I had to take little Salem to a party on Saturday ON THE BEACH ( I mean who plans a party on the island on Memorial Day weekend 🤨) anyway it took an hour to get there. Which wasn't bad because it took Summer 2 hours the day before.

I watch every week Becky. I am always so happy to watch ! Love your style and your home is so beautiful !!

I was so praying that you bought that glorious crewel! And that oil painting !!! 😳🙌🏼❤ I swear we are identical twins separated at birth! 😂 My every day and shoot… all occasions actually… lol… plates are vintage 60’s and 70’s stoneware florals. None of them match and I love it! When we set the table and get everything out it looks so lovely….like a field of wildflowers 🌸🌺🌼 I am also addicted to floral artwork from the 60’s and 70’s and I’m always asking my husband to just build me a wall so I have a place to hang more art! lol …I had to show my son the part in the video where you kept saying I have nowhere hang it cause he helps me find a spot when I bring home a new find. He bust out laughing and I said see there’s more out there like me! Lol Truly enjoyed your thrifting and finds today! ❤

That Crewel Work picture is gorgeous. Agree that Habitats have really went up on prices. Asheville NC is still my favorite Habitat store though I can still find deals on items some of the time. Have an amazing weekend.

Hi Becky, thank you for taking us along on your thrifting/antiquing trip. The crewel work you found is stunning! And of course, I love the black cat salt and pepper shakers. I can totally relate to being more selective in what I choose to bring home with me. Last Thursday, I was able to spend the day with my daughter which is a "rarity". She has two young boys (9 and almost 4) so her free time is very limited. We went to the nearest Hobby Lobby (well over an hour's drive) and a "Savers Thrift Store", a first time for both of us. She found lots of treasures, I didn't find anything but did stock up on scrapbooking supplies at Hobby Lobby. This Nana is creating the memory/scrapbooks for my grandsons, a labor of love.

I'm sure your real treasure that you brought home was the memories you made with your babies. I used to make scrapbooks but I found myself crying more than anything because I realized how fast my babies grew up.

Your yard looks absolutely beautiful! You did a fabulous job! Also, I love your haul. Definitely quality over quantity! Especially both artworks. So pretty! I have an electric fondue pot from 1971 that I got at a yardsale several years ago for $8. It is in perfect condition (like new, almost never used) and is a beautiful avocado green color that was popular at that time. I never pulled it out to use until last weekend, when I had a 60"s inspired coctail party for some girlfriends. I even made appetizers that were popular in the 60's. So the fondue pot came in handy! The moral of my story (😂) is that if you keep your eyes peeled, you can find exactly what you're looking for at just the right price for your budget. So don't give up, and don't give in until you find EXACTLY what you're looking for and it sparks JOY! ❤ Great video, Becky! Thank you so much for sharing!
