I used to have a massive closet with with trendy clothes & I could NEVER figure out what to wear. Now with a simplified closet mostly of basics I feel waaaaay more confident getting dressed & it only takes me a minute. Happy new years to you & happy thrifting!! ✨🪩

Just discovered your channel. I grew up in Oakland but have lived in NYC since 2012. It was so lovely to see my old neighborhood and thrift/vintage stores. Mercy had only recently opened when I left. I loved a place on College Ave as well but not sure if it's still there. Love your picks and you have a good eye for quality cool pieces!

New sub here, formerly Bay Area now in AZ. Addicted to thrift and TBH Goodwill (I know folks have mixed feels) But their prices are the best and I have scored so, so many beautiful quality modern and vintage pieces. Great video!

I have the opposite taste in basics. I am always on the hunt for light colored opaque plain shirts. But I'm short, and prefer a waist length shirt, so everything is always too long on me. These were some neat finds! It always feels like such an exciting thing to find a light colored shirt that fits and isn't stained!

Oh my goodness you are so sweet. This comment totally made my day! I just pick music I like & hope other people like it. ✨💞 Trying to get better & better at editing! I accidentally used copyright music in this video - whoops. I got a few songs from this YT channel called Chibi (the producer). Songs from Chibi’s channel are called “Sit”, “Sunrise”, and “Space”. The other songs in the video are Gloomboy by Sean Jefferson, Budi’s Ukele x Indie Pop Type Beat “Never” (on YT), Recess by Track Tribe (that’s from the KZread Audio Library)… “Kids” by Matthew May. I think that covers everything! I try to find royalty free music to use, but it’s always a little tricky… some of the songs ended up not being copyright free. Not sure if you’re looking for music for your own stuff! I just subscribed to Artlist (similar to Epidemic sound) for music for future videos. So far the selection on Artlist is alright… I need to dig a little deeper. Tbd! 🪩🤘🏼

Can you please explain, why so many thrift stores in the U. S. ( still) have closed fitting rooms? I can't understand it. In Germany, where I am from, they're open.

I have been wondering the same dang thing… My best guess is that because a lot of retail stores are understaffed right now, tending to the fitting room takes extra work & so it’s just easier to keep it closed off. Not a great experience. But, that’s just my guess… def comment if you work in retail and have a better answer. Thanks for watching from Germany! 💫💞

Found it via google lurking! It’s the Smiley® x H&M patterned shirt! Here’s more of the description if that helps to copy/paste into your search: “Longer-style silk shirt in a relaxed fit with a collar, buttons down the front and a yoke at the back. Dropped shoulders, long sleeves with buttoned cuffs, and a rounded hem.” I found one XS on Poshmark from the seller @multizk. I bet you can find others too if you try searching a few different terms.
