Another one of my go tos for this is to wear a rubberized non slip headband under the scarf and kinda tuck it around

It's fun watching your finds. I am a colour junkie mostly and love patterned things and a few plain. You have made me think about checking out second hand shops. I used to when the kids were young out of necessity for myself only.

I always go to the linen/textiles first when thrifting! I can always find something a lot cheaper than any fabric store. Usually something unique too

there’s a linen/textile fabrics area in your local thrift store? Or am I reading that wrongly? If so, I want to see if there is in mine as well.

@@nenyeo6090 what I meant was the sheets and blankets and such. I find a lot of things that I reuse in another way. My Salvation Army always has a lot of that kind of stuff. With that, Pinterest and a good imagination, I can usually find stuff for a “project”.

First off, I love your jump suit!! This is one that you dyed isn't it? It looks great, second, you made out like a bandit, you got some cute things! I love the free people little polkadot dress!! And I love the jeans too, I can see you cutting them. Everything is cute!! The blush sheer dress is gorgeous!! I hate you didn't get the patch work jeans! They missed out for not having a dressing room!

I loved the short jumpsuit, the flowered top and the nude one, but my favorite is the flowered crop top!! 2000s Fashion is back and the jeans you chose are y2k themed 😍😍😍😍!!!
@WellLoved

I love all of those finds! The jeans are actually straight out of the 80s! The pattern, brand and cut was indicative of that time and then rolled some of the trend into the 90s/y2k also

I love all of the haul, you got some great finds!!! I would like info on what you used to sinch in that first pair of jeans that were too big. I have some jeans that are just a tad too big, but I love them, just need a way to make them work.

It's and elastic band with clips on the end; my Mom had these and she ran them through our Winter coats and clipped our mittens to them (so we wouldn't lose them). I have seen shorter ones at Joanne's for cinching tops and blouses.

Thank you!! It’s a “dritz fit clip” and you can get them on Amazon - it’s the best little adjustment tool when I don’t want to take the clothing in yet!
I have a pair of jeans that the holes have gotten too big for my taste too. And I just saw a great idea on Pinterest to sew American flag fabric on the wrong side of the jeans so it covers up the holes and the flag theme shows thru
@WellLoved

i used to do that with all kinds of fabrics!

Love everything on you. It would be so fun to thrift with you. What were the prices like at the first store? Much higher than goodwill?
@WellLoved

aww thanks! the prices were pretty average for a more local thrift store, around $3 - $15 depending on the piece and quality
Please style these pieces 😍

I believe that America's Thrift Stores they don't have dressing rooms and if you save your receipt you have 30 days to exchange the items as long as the tags are still on

What is the clip thing called that you used to make your jeans smaller, and where do I find one?
@WellLoved
2 жыл бұрын
there's a ton of names for them but you can get them off amazon and they're called "jeans cinch clips" there
This no dressing room is making life a little more complicated. I really like the Dickie's coveralls and the check skirt (that may work with some of your color picnic prints). Could you not also use the black/white skirt as a tube top? Did you get any of the fabrics? Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

i usually just try stuff on over my clothes at the store, but i just wasn't feeling it this thrift day. the skirt is too small to wear as a top sadly. thank you for thrifting with me!
What is that contraption you used to tighten the jean’s waist?

It’s from a brand called outerknown, but i DIYed it to make it this yellow color and cut off the sleeves. You can see the transformation in a previous thrift flip!

The items you bought at the first store would cost a lot of money in Australia. Some thrift stores are more expensive than regular stores. Vintage is hard to come by in my area. You are a lucky ducky :)

@@WellLoved Oh, ok, thanks. I was thinking of this online term I sometimes hear that is "bo-ho" or something like that. My friends and I are not really up on all this slang terminology like the younger generation are into. So, that is what I thought you were saying, and that is the terminology that I am not familiar with. Well...we had our own slang like the following words when we were young like "bitchin' and "far-out" and rad" to just name a few. Actually those slang words were just at the end of their popularity when we were saying them as they had already been around awhile I believe by people older then me and my friends. We didn't grow up in the tech age with computers or cell phones. 😄
