In 1974-76, while living in New Orleans, I wore those authentic Nik-Nik shirts. I had a rather sheer black one with fancy-lady faces in profile on it, and a brown silky one with tiny little men in coats standing under umbrellas. I loved those shirts so much! Wish I'd kept them. They were expensive then and darn near impossible to find these days. Loved the architectural themed one you found! The Wrapper skirt looks like those paintings where you have to unfocus your eyes to see the design show itself...stereograms, optical illusions...you know! Love it. The dress with black velvet top and floral satin skirt is so flattering on you! Great fit. I love Front Royal, too!

First off LOVED the day of thrift outfit. It so fun seeing accessories and all put into action! I like that you captured the two sides of thrifting. Goodwill and the likes always hit the adrenaline surge for me of a great deal. The nicer thrift shops I feel like are for those who like knowing paying a bit more goes to a charity or you’re willing to pay more to buy used vs new.

So happy I found you! I’m obsessed with vintage thrifting but it’s hard to find KZreadrs who like the same stuff as me, ya ya!!!🎉

Love the piggy as a pigmom Grate sweaterfinds and I love the wool coat I would ware those boots, very unique, I love that! Fringes of all sorts, yes please 70 s dress yes! Loved the tropical print dress just an cardigan and a little black boot, grate for begining of fall. Finaly we are having si-ome dryer and sunnier days. We had a very rainy summer Unicorn invasion! Love the wavy print skirt Grate finds!

I love seeing collections and then Deep down I’m like, a dead collection 😭 at least at my thrift store, I live in a retirement community. I think it’s sports feast, just because the equipment was on a plate. You always find the best funky tops they always remind me of my dad’s shirt choices in the early 80s.

I’ve always found the men’s department jam packed with goodies. Three subsets in men’s: new and never been worn probably gifts; worn to death and he’s still searching the house for it but his wife, girlfriend, family have donated it; high end dead man clothes. Never overlook the men’s department. Found my favorite hand knit cardigan……

I went through my dresser drawer last week to see what I could donate to my local thrift store. I have a Spike Lee “Jungle Fever” t shirt I won when a radio station was promoting the 1991 movie. Maybe wore it once. For some reason I again could not give it away and decided I had to keep it. Watching your videos and seeing how you love vintage t shirts, I googled it. I was shocked to see that people were asking from $200.00-$300.00 for it. Wow! Glad I kept it.

I'm also really into the 70s button up shirts (I call them my disco shirts)! The more obnoxious the print, the better in my opinion. I like going full-on 70s and wearing them with flare jeans and platform boots. The only downside is they're usually made of 100% synthetic nylon or polyester so they don't breathe at all. But I'm willing to sweat for fashion.

My brother lives in Virginia and when I go visit, they have the best thrift stores
