I feel pretty foolish sometimes. In college, I bought so many household items at Target (dishware, linens, picture frames). I could never imagine NOT thrifting them now. We have a local thrift that prices across the board like all plates 25 cents, all mugs 50 cents. Which really gets them sold. Sometimes I think Goodwill would rather trash them than sell them for less.

Me too, 71 and now looking in my storage for my old items but mine are all flowery Amand I love white now! I also love the blue and white- still thrifting for Heritage. I won’t find in SC. 😢

I'm born and raised in Utah. I was Mormon, but I have since left the church. I still shop at Deseret Industries. They train people with disabilities to go out into the workforce. They also donate to people affected by natural disasters. Goodwill openly says none of their profit goes to any charities. There is always going to be controversy around different thrift shops.

Awe ypu have such a beautifuñ family, I can understand your being emotional. Change is hard but at least you are blessed with memories and a bond that will transcend the distance. Praying Gods comfort through this journey.

One of my sisters passed away a few years ago and we decided to do an annual sibling trip since we're scattered across the country. We take turns choosing where to go and this year it's Chincoteague!

Love and use oil lamps all the time. My home is very primitive style and oil lamps give better light than lamps, love them. Also love the coziness and ambiance of them.

@@Livebeautifullytoday I have bought them at yard sales for years usually for less than $5 for the larger ones. I have one in the center of my dining room table, mantle, etc and just get my oil at Walmart as that’s the only local store we have in our small town. Like you, I love the deep jewel tone colors of fall so have small ones in amber, green, deep burgundy and they are so pretty in windows when the sunlight hits them. When I see the tops at garage sales or thrift shops, usually a dollar or less I pick them up in case one breaks. I keep my wick low by turning it down and they are just beautiful ♥️

Hi it’s been a long time. My partner got diagnosed with cancer and I have been sad and very busy with him and all the appointments. Please pray if you can for us. What a great haul. I’m sorry about your sister moving I can imagine my buddy moving. ❤🙋🏻‍♀️

She has gone through hell and back but she beat it and now she is cancer free. It’s possible. Blessings to you and your loved one🙏🏼

I love oil lamps. I remember my grandma having then when i was a little girl, and now i have a pretty nice collection in all colors & sizes.. and I'll continue to add to it! They're so pretty. They can definitely be used for lighting like if you lose power or something but i justb use mine for decor. You had A really great haul! We definitely don't need to take time or life for granted.. both my parents and all my grandparents are deceased, i miss then all terribly😢 My Husband lost his oldest brother about 9yrs ago and just last week he lost one of his baby brothers,i say one because he was a twin. He was only 39 with 2 little girls. He Had A severe car if MS that had been misdiagnosed then it had gone to far. He contracted A severe kidney infection then covid and couldn't recover. So no.. we never know. But what I do know is I'll see them all again one day! Thanks for sharing your thrifting trip!😊

Love watching this video, you with your daughters and sisters. I’m one of 9 siblings, 3 boys, 6 sisters! We call our selfs “ The Yaya’s. We are all very close in our relationships, but we separated by states. 2 in Pennsylvania, 2 in Indiana, 1 in Virginia and 1 in Texas. My father came from Warsaw, and came to the US just before the second war broke out. My mother is also Polish decent. They are both passed. We all miss the them dearly!
