The story books that you dont want to cut up and use you should just scan the pages and print them out so you don't ruin the books 😁
Oh my word, those children’s books in the bookcase at the beginning - I wouldn’t have been able to resist them, we NEVER see stuff like that in the UK charity shops anymore, everyone’s either hanging onto them or selling them for silly money on EBay. Loved the Enid Blyton, and I had that Rupert annual once upon a time, before I gave it away to a charity shop - the irony of it!
Those vintage books on the shelves 😩 so sweet!
I don’t personally know anyone who is obsessed with these types of things like I am, so it is very cool to see someone else appreciating old tins and illustrations, random scraps, etc.
Love the kids books especially Rupert
Lol wish we had cool things like that in my second hand shops

@@JohannaClough is your Rupert book worth anything? Some of them are worth loads 😊
I just put together my first junk journal inspired by you. I can't wait to go thrifting for it. Hope I do as well as you.
I always like to go to the thrift store. Sometimes I come back home with nothing. And the other time I find some little treasures. Like your little box with laces. Good find by the way 👍🙂
Thank you for sharing 👍 I love going to thrift stores it's like treasure hunting 😁
Thank you for sharing the wonderful treasures you found. I really love seeing what can be found in all the different corners of the world! I share my finds in videos too and watching the finds of others gives me new ideas for what to look for. That tin is gorgeous in itself, but even more so since it was filled with all those lovely bits!
Gotta love op-shopping = treasure hunting. You never know what you might find - it's exciting. Love that gorgeous tin full of goodies. And lovely books too! Looking forward to seeing what you create with some of these finds
I really like the beginning. You got great stuff. Really love the books my favorite one is Rupert.
That tin just kept going - so much inside!
This reminds me how much I’ve missed visiting my local charity and second hand shops in the past year ❤️
Love the magic faraway books from Enid blyton! And the tin is 😍
I loved Rupert as a child and still have my books and toys.
Love this, especially the lace! Thrift shops (charity shops in the UK) have some amazing finds in them...I’ve got some vintage books to use for junk journaling waiting on my desk!
Love, love, love thrift shopping... and I love watching what others can and do pick up... These shops are a treasure trove of wonders... Aren't children's books the best? I look for botanical, birds, and children's books mostly... And to get crafty items is a bonus... unlike you though, I very rarely pick up lace or ribbon and get very excited when I do... thank you for sharing... Blessings...
I had that Hansel and Gretel book when I was a kid.... oh the memories lol
love shopping at the thrift stores here. finding items and giving them new life. great haul! thanks for sharing
Super cool finds! You got some really neat laces there! Also love how you will just weed out what you know you won't use right away! 👏 👏 Thanks for sharing! ❤️
The thrift stores where I live don't keep "tatty" books, they all get discarded if they're not perfect. It's impossible for me to find junk journal supplies here - that little treasure box is awesome!

I’ve shopped second hand my whole life, but i’m glad it’s become more popular in recent years, although it’s harder to find the treasures these days! 😊

Rebecca McCrady I have always shopped second hand, it’s all we could afford growing up.
Went opping last weekend and found some treasures...Meet Me At Mikes craft book, a couple of Frankie mags that I will use for junk journalling, a vintage Sydney mug with succulent and finally an old filofax. Pure gold.

I've got that Rupert the bear song as an ear worm now 😁 some great finds there 👍
Dear Johanna, I'd like to see you creating another junk journal since the beggining, would you? I'm a great lover of your work, congrats!
Fantastic!!!
Oh so excited to watch and I really loved this Johanna, thankyou for sharing. Such a gorgeous tin and the lace is very pretty. I still have my worn out Enid Blyton Annual from childhood and was pleased to find another the same but in better condition at a trash and treasure market. I’m sure you would love my favourite story inside called ‘When Ellen Cleaned The Dollhouse’. Sending warmest wishes
Gr8 haul,pretty lace n I love the tin box,tfs
I think we need a much better collection of thrift stores where I live. I almost always walk out with nothing.
Love a haul
Fun!!!
Great video thanks!
Treasures 😍
Wish we had shops like that in my part of the U.K. my local one has just closed down, not making any money!! Guttted. And our local WOW ( what others waste) shop also shut, due to high rents and not finding any where else. ☹️
how do you use the envelopes in the journals?
Oh wow, why dont we have thriftshops like this in Switzerland?
Newbie. Do you have a video on transforming a premade notebook into one that's refillable? I have two Louis Vuitton notebooks, with no paper remaining. I love the cover & would like to create an internal piece that fastens to the binder & used to accept blank pages.
@JohannaClough

I don’t have a video specifically on this but it would be much the same as binding pages into a handmade cover.. you will need to gut it, possibly reinforce it and then bind new pages, or use an elastic method (travelers notebook style) to make it refillable again and again

Hi Johanna, can I get the address of these old shops? I am living in sydney as well. Thank you. 😁
Where did you shop? The prices where I live are way too high even for an op shop....

Fun to see what you find in your secondhand shops. You call them "odd " or "ob" shops? Why are thrift stores called that? I'm going to watch your other thrift videos now, Johanna.

We call them ‘op shops’ in Australia, (opportunity shops) 🤷🏻♀️ they are usually not for profit charity stores.. not entirely sure why they are called that here. Thanks for watching!
