I remember the days when I had a caboodle! I love the packaging on the pick up sticks and old games as well. That flower frame is so pretty!

I really love that Art Nouveau puzzle, maybe Alfonse Mucha? I don't know if the pick up sticks are wood or plastic, but I use the wooden ones in decor, usually in creamers. I think it is cool your kids are receptive of thrift store finds. My eldest son won't accept used clothes for our granddaughters.

Ahh that’s too bad! I think since it’s been ingrained since they were little they are all for it. I do think shopping secondhand is becoming more acceptable though. Sometime you can find new with tags so no one is the wiser ;)

Yes so true!! So many reasons to shop thrift!

Loved this! So true, it's a bit harder to "gift thrift" for older kids, but still possible, especially if they know the good reasons for thrifting, reducing waste, etc. I have two teens and a 12 year old, and I have a few thrifted things for them so far - some stuffed animals (which I'll wash of course), and some notebooks, plus a Calvin and Hobbes comic book for my husband, and a cross stitch kit for myself! I may have to head out and look for more treasures before the big day. ;)

Erin, we so enjoyed watching this! My son and I watched it together and you found some wonderful, personal touches for Christmas. His favorite item was the little oil-water fidget item. I loved the markers and how you plan to package them up! It was a joy to do this with both of you!

Especially when they’re older and can appreciate the love and thoughtfulness behind each of the items you chose 💞👍🏼 I usually thrift my younger kids gifts every year too, this year I found was more scarce in the toy section of my thrift stores, so I had to add some online items. Thanks for sharing 🎅🏼🎄

Great second hand ideas for the kids. I’m just wrapping a lot of my secondhand gifts for friends and family. I find that cookbooks are great for adults.❤️🇨🇦
