Thank you Kiggles ! I do agree, it is so important to have an opinion and a point of view , it seems like all the division is an attempt to silence us from speaking up. Speaking in love and respect is the hard part but it is vital!

I think, too, that others don't know what you have been thru or going through so good to step back and think of a different point of view. One of my favorite books is The Four Agreements. It may have nothing to do with you so don't take it personally. The last few years have been hard on everyone.

Gorgeous piece! I am 70 and after a lifetime of insults I now just say or think to myself "...but nobody died." That puts it into perspective. Like the old saying, "don't sweat the small stuff...and its all small stuff." Just because they are upset doesn''t mean we have to be too.

Turned out beautiful! Not my personal style, but I could see this in my sisters house! To bad people can’t appreciate other peoples styles. I enjoy going to others homes and seeing their different styles. It’s like going on a vacation to a different atmosphere. I would have really loved if you would have put the cake piece on here so we could see it. You have a very unique style!

What a beautiful dresser! Most of all it was a beautiful video: funny, sad, creative, inspiring, words of wisdom!

It's hard to not be offended as an artist. You're baring your soul in a lot of pieces. Artists are known to be their own worst critic and then along comes someone who affirms all our self-criticisms. The fact that you're successfully dealing with 'problem' customers now, means your self-confidence has grown a lot since that time. Whatever you do, you always knock it out of the park, Debi! Years back I had a booth in an art show and some ladies came by, seemed to be admiring the clothing I had made. One of them asked the price of a dress and When I told her she put the piece back on the rack and said loudly to her friend "We can get something just like this at WalMart" and then looked at me and I said "Okay" and smiled at her. She was so offended and they walked off. LOL The final piece you created is absolutely stunning and I am SO INSPIRED!!!😍❤️❤️💖🌞🙏🏻🌸🌸Thanks for sharing your process and your unfortunate experience. 🙏🏻💖

Absolutely amazing video, a piece of furniture worthy of Versailles

Boy, oh boy, could I ever relate to this particular chapter. I had a shop for 20 years - filled with antiques and one of a kind things that I created. I bought a doll bed from the 1890s and I made 22 mattresses from vintage fabric to make a princess and the pea bed from the fairy tale. One hundred people asked me if they could just buy one mattress. I have been through a lot of things that you have been through with owning a shop. I certainly understand. I put my building on the market in the middle of Covid and it sold within 6 hours. Just a lucky fluke really. You are a fabulous artist and creative person. You are going to go far. I adore the Marie Antoinette dresser.

You truly have the most unique channel. Your creativity, music you choose and your story telling is pure gold.

Hi Debi ! This is absolutely magnifique! I am actually in France right now with my mom, we just went to Versailles last Thursday. Today is our last day in Paris then home to New Jersey. This piece makes my heart sing! I was telling my mom that as soon as I get home I was going to paint a side board that I have been hoarding to commemorate our mother daughter trip to France. We also went to Giverny and Monet's garden. I hope you had a chance to go there as well when you were in France , a painters dream!

The pictures from your trip to France are always so stunning! You definitely captured a bit of Versailles with the cameo construction and the moulds on this lovely dresser! Went to France w. My husband a few times, his parents lived there. Your dresser is very french looking, great job, really like the way you mixed all the different things together, don't worry about the ones who poo-poo on ur talents. There are plenty of people who will like this.

I'm proud of you for standing up for yourself and your work, offended or not lol I lived in CA for a few years and I was young when I started working in a store in orange county. This old guy told my boss I just ignored him and didn't help him. I was on the phone with another customer and mimed "I'll be right there"...when I finally got to him I tried to explain I was talking to a customer (at this point I didn't know he had already been bitching about me because he could clearly see I was busy) he tells me to shut up before I get in anymore trouble. People like that don't care if they're hurtful or not so good on you!
