I knew you would appreciate some non-distressed items, lol!! And I do still sell a ton of distressed pieces, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary 100 percent of the time, so every once in a while I do a piece that I don't distress - it really depends on the look I'm trying to achieve in the moment I guess . . . :) And I totally think sticktoitiveness should be a word - it makes perfect sense to me! I do tend to be pretty determined and a lot stubborn, and thankfully on occasion those traits work to my benefit, lol. I'm just glad the star turned out decently - I really didn't relish the thought of reapplying the spray paint and starting all over . . . although in retrospect . . . that may have been simpler . . . hahaha!! Thank you! Have a lovely weekend!

I love when you paint things green. It’s such a calming color. Have you ever seen a transfer that resembles Toile painting from the Scandinavian countries? If so, I’d like to see something like that. I have a toile painted wood plate and a Dala horse. My ancestors came from Sweden. Thanks

I'm glad you liked the green! :) I know IOD had a pretty transfer a while back that was Toile . . . other than that I really don't know - I will keep my eyes open, though! I used to have a sitting room that was done very French country with a Toile slipcovered couch and a lot of blue and white . . . it was so pretty!! :)

Rachel, love how the white wax looks with Aviary. Very understated and gorgeous. The star may have caused you some grief, but it ended up looking wonderful. The cabinet was my favorite. When you first put the oil wax on, I was stunned, thinking the piece was ruined. But when you rubbed it off and it had just "settled" into all the crevices and such, it is Fantastic. I should have known better but it was still a shock. I really like the door on it also. It seems to frame the roses and gives you tantalizing peeks, enticing you to open the door and see the beauty within. Very feminine. Happy to see that the snow is gradually disappearing. Ours is as well, thank goodness. Redesign is coming out with some gorgeous new items. Wish I could buy them all. Thank you for showing us some of what you got. I'm glad you liked everything! That oil wax - especially the dark and the black - look so scary when you first apply them, lol. It's amazing how they work with the milk paint and leave such a subtle and beautiful patina once you wipe them away . . . it's a fun process! I loved how the little cabinet came out, too. It's funny because when I first showed it in one of my thrift hauls I had a few people tell me I should leave it "as is" and so I was hesitant to do anything with it - however - since I purposefully purchase things with the sole purpose of doing something with them, I finally made up my mind to paint it and I'm so glad I did! :) And I just love those roses!! Yes, the snow is definitely melting - hopefully we don't have another winter like last year where it got really warm and then froze really hard in February. It killed so many things!! I guess we shall see . . . makes me nervous though!! Anyway, have a great weekend!! Thank you!!

I'm glad you liked them!! And the waxes I am familiar with come in just the clear, black, dark and white . . . I haven't seen a pink one. I haven't done a ton of research on custom tinting wax, but it could be possible? :)

Love them all but my very favorite is the cabinet! I ordered some of the sweet Pickens oil wax. It can be used over other chalk paints right?

I'm glad you liked them!! And yes, you can use the oil wax on other paints, although it is best over the milk paint. Christina over at The Turned Leg actually did a video on sealing a buffet she had painted with DIY paint and sealed with the oil wax that I would recommend watching before you try it.
