no doubt. a lot of the punk / emo / indie bands of the 2000s are really great and overlooked by the masses. thrice, brand new, coheed and cambria, thursday, circa survive, manchester orchestra all come to mind

Can’t believe this band so small. They need to get more attention.

Have to have listened to this at least 15 times. I don't really see the hate on this, it's heavier than Major Minor, still definitely has a thrice sound, and has amazing lyrics. If people are seriously giving up on thrice's new album because of one song I feel really bad for them. Glad to see thrice back strong as ever.

That was a tasty meal right there. Hoping the rest of the album is further diverse. IMO, Thrice never has disappointed in the past! One of the few powerhouse bands with the same 4 members holding incredible chemistry with every record. Honest tunes from square one, never filler or compromised with the throes of the industry. Thice played this at Leedsfest UK last night. They were amazing. If they could go ahead and never hiatus again that would be just great.

These guys play music for fun and because they love each other. Even if ya'll find it to be "generic" it's where they are as a band. They've given me so much over the years that I don't care if their new album isn't groundbreaking. I just want them to enjoy themselves. They've earned that :)

This is a lot more solid than I was expecting, honestly. STOKED

This is a great song. So mature. So aggressive and modern. Way to go THRICE!

Dustin's voice is starting to sound like Chuck Ragan's. I've been a Thrice fan since early 2000 and there have been many changes, musically, over the years. Dustin's lyrics are always impressive and the lyrics for this particular song are quite relevant to what's been going on. I definitely can't wait to hear more so I can get a feel for the tone of the album. Glad to have you guys back!

I can see that. Chuck's voice is much much more raspy though. to the point that when he sings live the rasp is louded than his actual voice. I love both singers though.

+Ryndan Riley I said "starting to sound like." I know it's not as raspy as Chuck's. I've seen Chuck solo and I've seen him in HWM many times. I've never thought his raspiness was louder than his voice though. It's part of his voice, not separate from it. It's unique and totally works with his music.

+Lioness006 I believe Dustin smokes and I'm sure that's a contribution to his voice changing from album to album. Also, Chuck Ragan is awesome. One of the biggest reasons I loved Thrice is because they reminded me of Hot Water Music when I first heard them.

Damn you guys just never lose it. One of the great pleasures of my life has been following this band's work for the past fifteen years. The most dependable band I've ever had the honor of moshing to.

I cannot wait to hear this song in the context of the album. New Thrice albums have always been a slow build for me, where I wasn't crazy about Beggars, it grew to become one of my favorite albums of all time, and Major/Minor grew to BE my favorite album of all time. And within this past year, I have finally given the Alchemy Index it's due, and I have no idea how I'm going to have a top albums list full of Thrice albums, but with their full catalog, it's happening. My favorite band. I've always felt like my listening experience with them was akin to the wrestling their songs are full of.

From the punk hardcore days to now... This band constantly amazes me.

Thank you for the support through the years, Thrice. I have listened since I was 10 years old. ... I have suffered the true wrath of this system's malice. Never broke any laws. Never stole. Never threatened. Never owned a weapon. In October 2016 I was attacked in a small town by corrupt police officers. They aggressed tazers and threw me to the ground for complying. All 3 gang members got on top of me and crushed my spine until I suffocated. I am now 24 years old and I can no longer walk. Permanently disabled for life. The swearing at the end of this song is powerful. Thanks for sharing the pain. -John Ross
