This version of Ronaldo just had this ability to instantly know exactly how he needed to strike the ball for it to go in. Some of the shots he had to execute in order to score were very impractical like the outside foot shot vs Juventus in 2018, his kick using the sole of the boot vs Bayern in 2017 or using the knee vs PSG in 2018. His reactions are almost inhumane. He finds unique and untraditional ways to hit the ball, but somehow it is almost always the right attempt to go for in the specific situation. Some might say i'm glazing, but his quick decision making and of course execution is what sets him apart from other world class strikers imo.

Actually statistically Ronaldo ghosts more than he shows up, by far. If Ronaldos team doesn't play so well then Ronaldo puts in 4.7 performances at times, Ronaldo normally comes in clutch normally when his team are already working well. Didier Drogba is a much better clutch player than Ronaldo, people think that statement might be crazy because they forget much of football and if someone is better than Ronaldo then it HAS to be Messi or no one, but realistically Drogba was a better big game player than Ronaldo and maybe also Messi too. We have already seen 2 players better than him at goalscoring, Haaland and Mbappe. What Haaland and Mbappe are doing hasn't been done since Ronaldo in the 90's, if they stay committed and away from injury they will blow past Ronaldos numbers easily. In terms of goalscoring alone Mbappe has 97 more goals than Ronaldo does at the same age, he is already almost 100 goals in the lead already. Ronaldo has 8 goals in 5 world cups and Mbappe has 4 goals in the world cup final alone, and 8 goals in 1 world cup. Mbappe and Haaland might make us look at Messi and Ronaldos stats the way Messi and Ronaldo made us look at Pele and Maradonas stats. This is also why, in my opinion, stats alone mean nothing. I don't think Mbappe or Haaland are on Ronaldos level and personally Ronaldo is around 9th of all time but his STATS and stats alone make him top 5 at worst. Mbappe scoring 8 goals vs Clermont foot are just as important as Ronaldo scoring 8 goals vs Bayern Munich, because in 30 years time people will see that one players numbers are higher than the others and against who wont mean anything to the future generations. All that matters now is that "my guy has more goals than your guy so my guy wins" and it doesn't matter if those goals are in a world cup final or in the Saudi league vs shopkeepers. Messi is a 10 he’s meant to have more assists Ronaldo played on the wing for 80% of his career where it’s harder to score and assist and he still scored more goals and still assisted very well. Just some examples 10/11 messi: 23 assists Ronaldo: 16 assists, 09/10 messi : 11 assists, Ronaldo: 8 assists with 18 less games. 11/12 and 17/18 seasons messi had 10+ more assists than Ronaldo (a winger turned striker) vs messi (cf/10)
