I had Influenza A last year(Jan2017). High grade fever, cough, green phlegm, sore throat and all that nasty stuff; it was one of the worst! Today (Feb2018) I have Influenza B and I am heavily congested, random chills and low grade fever. Both times I was advised to stay home for 5 days!!

I have type A right now and feel miserable. I always have a habit of researching what I’m diagnosed with and learning as much about it as possible (Nerd Alert! I know.)

maybe consult a doctor, this doesn't sound like influenza or something like that to me. I'm pretty sure you already have as it's been 10 years since you wrote this comment.

Hello Khanacademy, first of all, your videos are awesome, beyond any word can describe. I am preparing for Canadian board exams and they are helping me a lot to understand the concept. My only concern is the references. What are the references to these videos? Are they per Canadian medicine guidelines as well? Thank you!

My son and I have type A and it’s terrible. So tired, so much neck pain, and feeling disoriented non stop. The antivirals seem to help.

It won't be a winter epidemic. Since you are expecting the elevation, it would just be an endemic. I think.

I have type a..... This is the second time I've had it in my life... Had it the same time last year....first time headache . vomiting.stomach issue and body ache . Now in just stuffy

Very informative video, thanks! I don't know if anyone can relate but in my case it started with runny nose, then it continued up with sore throat. Then it felt like it slowly went down windpipe and stopped right in the middle of my throat. That was the time when I felt this annoying tickly feeling in there which made me dry cough from time to time. Then it went down to my upper chest and made me cough afterwards which was accompanied with chest pain and burning sensations afterwards. No fever/chills/overall weakness whatsoever but at first I thought I had pheumonia and I was really scared cause I never really experienced anything like this before. We called a doctor. after cheking my throat/lungs she told me I had type C seasonal virus and it shall go away it by itself in a few days. She suggested me tons of fluids as well as inhalation 3 times a day. Well thankfully my cough has almost dissapeared and I don't have any sore throat/pain either but that burning sensation in my chest is still there and it's freaking me out lol 😆 also, I can breathe freely and I have no fever whatsoever. But I'm still cautious. Don't take this viruses lightly guys😀 if you're in doubt see your doctor right away ^_^

So I got Flu A from my new puppy? Because I have not been sick in literally over 15 years, and had no pets at all till recently and then I get my pup... I been sick off and on ever since. Or at least for the past week and my pup is three months old.
