I love how people are replying only after a year had passed.

You can actually use the burning dmg from your jungle equip to your retri calculation, but only on condition when you want to steal the turtle or objectives, where you don't hit the objectives at all, then last hit. The first tick of burning dmg happen on your first ATK instance (this include cursed helmet dmg, so stay away from objectives if you want to steal it) , add it with Skill + retri + burn dmg. Ex: Fredrin 1st skill 1000 + retri dmg 2500 + jungle burn 700 = Approx. 4200

Being a core as my main role, I can add 4 more tips to that. 1st is to pressure the enemy jungler's buffs right before the turtle to make them use retribution on their buffs. 2nd is to use the jungler emblems where you get to deal 20% more damage to objectives. 3rd is to pick junglers with high HP/sustain, or both. 4th if you prefer assassin heroes, it's better to purchase items with high HP/defense or with sustain. Damage items are 2nd priority. The reason for tips #3 & #4 is that the time period of clashes in the turtle/lord area is not always brief. Sometimes they may be extended to a longer period and a high sustain/HP/defense jungler can assure that when the enemy heroes target you, you can still remain in the clash until the turtle/lord's HP reaches to a point where you can use your retribution to secure the objectives.

Yeah, this is a lot more effective and it’ll fool the enemy jungler that would try to steal with retribution ONLY, meanwhile u combine both ur skill dmg + retri to overpower and guarantee get the objective. Hope more beginning junglers do this more often (especially for allies xD)

I did this all the time the problem with this is when your skills in cooldown but your teammates doesn't know how retribution work so they keep attacking it

As a balmond jungler, its easier for you to steal objectives like turtles and lords. His ultimate now has an exact amount of damage dealt: only 2000 damage to creeps. So u just need to add damage from retri: 2000+retri damage Hope it helps 🥳

When trying to steal turt/lord(like an in-steal-out), know your retri's true dmg on creeps(the true dmg that continiously grows while you're attaking a junglecreep) when you hit it the first time, and then add that base number to your retri hit dmg Ex: the dmg of your retri is 2300, and your extra creep dmg every second is 200, then hit retri at around or exactly 2500

Best tip that i can give is to you know if the enemy jungler has retri on cd or not. Also you can force the enemy jungler to use retri if you're "baiting" their buff(works well against fanny and ling mains)

here is a great tip and probably the most secretive one... have the retri available when the objective is up for grab

The best option is to pressure the jungler when taking it's buff before the turtle respawns. With that, the pressured jungler has two options: Take the buff or save it for the turtle

A good example of that is having a good exp laner that pressure the enemy jungler during turtle take he either kill the enemy core or get to low hp so that the enemy won't contest the turtle...

Balmond is a Hero which has a Retribution of his own, with lower CD. So it's really hard to steal objectives from him. That's why I always tell my Team to keep their CC skill for enemy's Jungle when Turtle or Lord objectives HP Became low enough. Or try invading his Jungle to forced him to use Retribution early on other creeps, and we could take Objectives easily since he used his retri on other monster.

Or u can use akai jungler though,what you need to do is using the ultimate if there a enemy team then use retribution at the right time.this way you can kill the the turtle without being ganked

as a support, mage and an assassin roamer user, I prefer forcing the enemy to use retribution. Chang'e, Selena, Natalia, Gord, Cyclops and Pharsa are my best heroes for this strategy. I love disturbing the enemy jungle when I use Selena because of the early game advantage and I sometimes camp in the enemy red buff if they started with purple buff. plant traps around the most obvious pathways depending on the enemy jungler then lure him to where my other traps are placed. ATP as a Selena roamer you'll reach lv2 by just camping and once you get lv2 it's time to be more annoying 😊

Nah.. i don't need math i just need to use my eyes and instinct 😂 Edit: There's always someone who like to ruin the mood or serious about the gameplay when someone's joking, well I'm not surprised tho

Yeah, it's for us who don't jungle as much like me or those who jungle but still didn't know this. It's great bite-sized information right?

Another tip is this,normally the blue and red appears before the turtle You can go to "invade",by that i mean just being there making like you want to steal enemies buff,so you can make them use retri,trust me some players would preffer the buff instead of the turtle,and if they dont use ir you can steal their buffs,but nwver use your retri if there is a turtle

As a jungler, all I can say is timing is most important. Basically bad timing = losing objectives.

I do the exact match thing and has always secrued the objectives with very less probabilities of failure. As an Elgin fan, I RECOMMEND THIS VIDEO FOR EVERY MLBB JUNGLER

Yeah, making retri icon bigger is a really good idea But what's better is, putting the retri icon in between the first and 2nd skill... Takes time to adapt but it's much better

My favorite is the 3rd option. I always look out for the possible steal from the enemy. I zone or kill. However, sometimes when I am the Jungler, no one would like to zone nearby bushes :(

If i was mage or roamer (wich my main role) i probable focusing on enemy hyper to zone him or kill him or CC when the lord almost to the point that can be retri. But when i am hyper, no one done that. And i rarely use hyper except smurfing on my mythic 2nd acc

The 4th option is to retri the Duo with a Relationship affinity, it gives you 50+ points and Moonton doesn't care about it because retring and Duo is part of the game aswell

i tend to cover the turtle hp bar with my hero's hp bar to prevent enemy from seeing the hp left of turtle if they didnt damage it

Use retri as soon as the game starts to increase power and cool down in time for lord

When you just respawned and your enemy is attacking the lord/turtle, ask your friends to begin disturb the enemy jungler then you run straight to it. Usually the lord/turtle health would be low so you can focus on only retri, but if it has more than 50% hp then do the same as shown in the video

TIP #4: If you can't do good retri, find someone who can

Elgin I think you should flesh out each role cause even if there is someone adjusted role they don't even know what they should do. For example there's a multiple offlaner/xp picked on our team then the other one decided to play roamer instead which is good but the frustrating thing is they don't even do what roamers should do like zone in the bush while teammates are taking objectives (turtle, turrets etc) or they don't even check the bush instead they always show themselves on the map. And that happens a lot on mythic rank

Ah, math. One of my big brain gameplay with Pharsa is hiding inside a bush to steal the Lord.

Of course, using CC effect on the enemy jungler when the Lord is close to Retribution's damage is also effective. You basically can't even use Retribution when you get stunned. Either tank like Tigreal, Minotaur or something like that can stun enemy's hyper while also being too tanky for their opponents to kill

Or even greater tip (if you have good teammates or trio) your tank or mage can stun the enemy jungler for a second while you take the turtle

When trying to steal lords/buffs, if you did not hit the jungle creep before, your retri will instantly deal the true damage from your jungle item.. so you will do 2560 retri dmg + 500 from jungle boots instead of just 2560

This tip is pretty obvious and just common sense actually but I see a lot of players fail to utilize this one. If the enemy jungler is low or half hp and is trying to contest your jungle, attack the enemy jg first. Kill him or force him to recall to base. But you do this if your hp is bigger, you know that you're capable in killing the enemy (ex. A low hp enemy Fredrinn jg can still kill a half hp or full hp Natan jg), and you know where the other enemies are (enemy jg might be setting an ambush with other enemies), or you have a backup. I've seen several junglers that are just going for the turtle even if they can actually take down the contesting enemy jungler first, and in the end, the enemy jg gets to steal the turtle instead.

Sometimes I hid the hp bar of the lord or turtle with my hero hp so that he would'nt know when he will use retri

as a jungler i know all of them still miss it sometime

I thought this strat is already common since I also have to contest with junglers who uses this most of the time.

4th (Optional) Invade enemy jungle buff: There is a higher chance that enemy jungler will use retri when you're in their jungle. 5th (If you're new to jungling) equip demon slayer (jungler emblem) and use emblem point in battle spell cd reduction. With these, you can farm faster, but the drawback makes you weaker as an assassin and squishy as a tank against enemies.

When taking the turtle, I always try to pull it on my side of the map. When taking the lord, I always try to move around to prevent the knock-up. It's the opportunity of the opponent to steal the lord.

In early game if ur ahead level in enemy jungle teams exp thats mean ur retribution is also increased its damage total

Now i know why jungle emblem has bigger factor in taking objectives bcoz has higher damage in lord and turtle so its ez to combo skill and retri coz u have bigger damage

I think using jungler emblem no matter what hero you are jungling with is effective your impact in team fights will be noticably lower but you will take the turtle and the lord in no time .

Proper position of lord try to invade in early stage to have a lvl advantage stun your opponent then retri

I just discover this trick last week. I am great at math tho🙂

When trying to steal an objective, keep calm and have the retri button already pressed and secure. DO NOT RELEASE IT OR PANIC because you might accidentally cast it. This is a counter to tip #1. It doesn’t always work, but because you’ve already pre-pressed the button, you could actually react faster than your opponent, who will still need to press two buttons for their skill + retri combo. Every millisecond matters, so being just a millisecond faster can actually help you big time.

Hmm ..I guess reminding your teammates by constantly pinging Attack the Turtle/Lord before it spawn is also something to note, sometimes they're too busy going for kills or farming and you're the only one going for the objectives, this is the case mostly on lower ranks..in higher ranks a single ping would be enough..it's just better when your teammates and you are on the same page.. positioning before a fight for objectives definitely gives your team the upper hand specially on the latter part of the match.

when I'm our team jungler before i take the turtle i make sure my hero level is higher than the enemy core, to gain more advantage during turtle take. In some cases i just give the 1st turtle and steal the enemy buff so i have a higher level when the 2nd turtle spawn.

What i really hate is when the tank/hero with low damage is also hitting the lord instead securing the area, and when the lord get stealed, i'm the one that getting blamed

Here's some more I can think of: 1. Try getting on a higher level than the enemy jungler's so that your Retribution has higher damage output. 2. Tell your teammates to CC the enemy jungler right when objective's HP is low enough to be combo'd by Retribution and a skill cast. (This is to prevent the enemy from using Retribution) 3. Consider the incoming damage coming from the lord, not just from your damage ouput or from the enemy jungler's. (Although this one is hard to pull off)

How to retri use balmond

Tip: Kaja’s passive can decrease an enemy junglers Retri damage due to his passive.

I usually let my enemy retri because I love to bless other people. It feels better to give than to take.

I see a lot of people don't dodge the lords airborne stun especially the jungler when it's about time to use retri , + I see a lot of junglers gamble with retri when the enemy has a balmond jg they don't zone him out and unfortunately in most cases they lose the objective ...

Bonus retribution tip: if 3 isnt done properly, use it against ur enemies and destroy them instead. U might just win against the advantage or even the game.

The mistake i did for retri: auto tap it because sometimes idk of it's fixed but I think sometimes it still goes to a nearby enemy hero rather than the objective

I barely lose on Retri fights. Another reason for me winning the retribution game is that I check on how fast the dmg has been put to the turtle or lord. You should be wary of how fast the dmg is sinking on the objectives, especially in the late game. Your marksmen or mage might be able to sink huge damage on the objectives so sometimes it is impossible to check that hp bar and time it perfectly. What you can do is check how much HP has been reduced whenever the marksmen or your team is hitting it. You can constantly notice it like 8k HP per second and in that way, you have proper expectations when the 4k or 5k HP for the objectives will be noticeable. But be ware of the changes of HP that have been reduced especially if your team mate is equipped with items that make them do critical damage.
