Three New Criminal Laws Enacted | IPC Repealed | InNews | Drishti IAS English
Three new criminal laws will come into effect on Monday (July 1). The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), passed in Parliament last December, will replace the Indian Penal Code (IPC), 1860, the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), 1973, and the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 respectively.

Politician par bhi kanoon ban na chahiye jinka criminal record hai woh politian ko koi haq nahi hona chahiye chunav mai khade hone ka, unki list tyar karo, aur unko jail mai dalo kanoon aam nagriko ke liye hai par politician ke liye nahi
On a contrary note govt. says women are as important as men, and should be given opportunities in the similar manner.. Schemes that specify women create a sense that women are some how low and should be given upper hand over things it's so much justified for a large section of society...but at the same time there are also women and more women's who misuse these laws.... All in all i believe we should slowly process towards gender neutral laws as many women's are becoming employed and educated and hence doesn't require as such privileges.

Indeed India needs gender neutral laws but I believe only in the case of sexual offences and rape . However I can not say the same for domestic violence act.
