Three mistakes that are hindering your improvement in AoE4 (and any other RTS)
Ойындар
In this video I'm going to cover three of the most common mistakes people trying to become the best AoE4 players they can become are most likely falling into:
00:00 Intro
00:45 Using the mouse too much
04:53 Using "Select All Military key"
07:12 Not having a clear plan going into a matchup

"well the answer is yes"
You had me there when you said "So am I really gonna do 100 videos for every single possible match up?" I thought you were being sarcastic but then you answered yes :D You are a beast!! Really like your videos so far, thanks for sharing your knowledge and tips. Let'sssss goooo!!!

Very useful, thanks! Updated the video description. This is easier to do than I thought :D
Looking forward to your analysis videos!
9:17 me he reído, esperando esos 100 vídeos. Muy contento de que tu hermano y tú estéis subiendo ahora mucho contenido. Sois enormes y necesarios para la comunidad.
Love this kind of coaching! so excitng to see the matchup analysis!
Thanks Lucifron. When I found out at first about the select all military units hotkey I started winning some more fights because of it and it got me up to diamond, but, after that, relying too much on this hotkey is a crutch and you lose a lot of control over the match by using it too much and it starts being a massive disadvantage. I should never have started using it in the first place and now I have to get used to not using it to level up my game and it's hard.

Yes it's one of those bad habits that at first make you feel better because you're never forgetting reinforcements, but in the long run it ends up feeling you are constantly fighting against the game in order to send your units where you want to. Definitely recommend unbinding the key to avoid using it at all, and instead use the idle military + patrol trick that I explained in the previous video
Great idea! Looking forward to the videos! 👍
Wow, THAT is an interesting idea. Really looking forward to the analysis videos. 🙏
Wow very ambitious project to record a video for every matchup! I'll look forward to it.
Great video! Great info! Looking forward to the future content. One thing I will say is I hope you adjust you mic a bit, I can't hear your beautiful voice! lol
Nice, looking forward to learning!
Thanks Lucifron! I just bought this game a month ago, and these are really helpful! Also i've never played RTS too much so yea really looking forward to your videos. Also funny thing, i stumbled across your twtch channel because i was like "i know this name from somewhere" and in fact, i looked you up and we both played HotS. I never got into tourneys but i played ladder at a top 50 level so yeah funny how small the world can be sometimes :) Anyways keep it up, i like the way you explain things!

Hey! Nice to read that someone from HotS is playing AoE4 too now. I started streaming 1 month ago, so perfect timing! Hope you enjoy the content m8, gl!
I subscribed!! Your content is gold
Great video! Thanks for the content !
i really enjoy your tips!
Great content! In these list videos, it might be cool if you could timestamp the list items, it would help us travel back and forth easier

Didn't know how to do this, apparently it's as easy as timestamping in the video description. Will do so in future similar videos

@@LucifroN7 Thank you very much!
I'd be interested in you reviewing your hotkeys, and or a camera on your hand when playing.
Looking forward to the deep analysis
Cant wait!
Thank you for the content.
Love the idea of the match ups. Hoping you won’t get bored because it might feel very repetitive after a while. Looking forward to anything involving Abba.

You may enjoy today's video then (spoiler!)
As a still AoE4 noob I have the hardest time with 7:12 not having a clear plan. I still do not know what to do in mid / late game and how to even get to the point how to formulate a plan.
Thanks for tips
Thanks!!! 🎉
Love it
Could you please provide us with a video about walling tips and hints landmark placement and so 👍💓

I will usually comment these things as I'm playing each civ, but no plans on making a specific video for it right now.
Keep up the vids! But it's only 55 match ups not 100, couldn't help commenting. :) Still a ton!

@@LucifroN7 Got it!
Pro player 👍🏻
Seriously knowing the best start to each matchup for your civ is massive, you could really break it down simply into hybrid maps and land maps and would be enough, but there are always those tricky matchups with early spears towers maa from one side or both etc . Maybe the easiest way to get every single matchup without making 100 videos could be for example "english matchup meta~ on land maps this is standard build but vs these specific civs you should make this changes and on these specific maps make this changes, on hybrid maps here is standard build but vs these civs make this change" etc. I can only see it being a stretch to include mountain clearing or king of hill since they are land maps with pretty fast win conditions.

Your point makes sense, but I still think there's a lot of value for everyone to find a FPVOD commented guide of any matchup they want to improve in

movement tips and overview tricks would be great
Good stuff, looking forward to the videos. :) Maybe consider putting it on aoe4guides? Might be something for a "featured author" section. I will add a matchup property in the next days.
