The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is an annual research communication competition which challenges research higher degree students to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance in just three minutes in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
Megan Pozzi, Faculty of Education was the winner of QUT's 2013 competition and the people's choice winner. She spoke about her research on teenage girls and social media identity and status updates.

    This is such a brilliant presentation. She was able to speak the details of her research in so much detail without making it looked too narrow focused

    my lecturer recommended me her video and woww no wonder she got the first place. it was brief but very informative and i like her way of presenting it.

    Liked & Enjoyed every bit of it. Specially, the researcher's engaging gestures, embodiment of emotions from the survey respondents, and her representation to their facial expressions.

    A great speech on the customers feedback a great thesis of inherent cohort of the whole topic at large...same the interaction with the audience and achievement of high score....

    Great speech, I just wondering 3 minutes competition is it just 3 min max right? I noticed that this was more than 3 min, is that permitted?

    This seems to be consistent with gender stereotypes that girls are supposed to have feminine qualities like being kind.
