To answer that question is only to look at history of the Human Species. Not good one bit. The past 3400 years only a few hundred without wars. People take what others have just because they can. همین اقتدار و توانمندی‌های نظامی کشور است که دشمن را به عقب رانده و اگر دشمنان حاضر به مذاکره با جمهوری اسلامی ایران هستند به دلیل همین توانایی و قدرت است خداوندمتعال در قرآن کریم و در آیه ۶۰ سوره مبارکه انفال مسلمانان را به افزایش توان و قدرت نظامی امر می‌کند و می‌فرماید: براى آمادگى مقابله با دشمنان، هرچه مى‌توانید از نیرو و از اسبان سوارى فراهم کنید و به این وسیله دشمن را بترسانید. حتی خداوند در این آیه مسلمانان را دعوت به انفاق در این راه می‌کند که نشانه این است که تقویت توان نظامی نیازمند حمایت همه جانبه مردم و حکومت است. «وَأَعِدُّواْ لَهُم مَّا اسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن قُوَّةٍ وَ مِن رِّبَاطِ الْخَیْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِهِ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ وَ عَدُوَّکُمْ وَءَاخَرِینَ مِن دُونِهِمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَهُمُ اللَّهُ یَعْلَمُهُم وَ مَا تُنفِقُواْ مِن شَىْ‏ءٍ فِى سَبِیلِ اللَّهِ یُوَفَّ إِلَیْکُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُونَ‏ » هر نیرویی در قدرت دارید، برای مقابله با آنها [دشمنان‌]، آماده سازید! و (همچنین) اسب‌های ورزیده (برای میدان نبرد)، تا به وسیله آن، دشمن خدا و دشمن خویش را بترسانید! و (همچنین) گروه دیگری غیر از اینها را، که شما نمی‌شناسید و خدا آنها را می‌شناسد! و هر چه در راه خدا (و تقویت بنیه دفاعی اسلام) انفاق کنید، بطور کامل به شما بازگردانده می‌شود، و به شما ستم نخواهد شد! خداوند در آیه فوق به مسلمانان دستور می‌دهد تا از همه توان خود برای کسب آمادگی و تقویت قوای نظامی استفاده کنند. در برخی از تفاسیر درباره این آیه آمده است که این فرمان خدا نه تنها برای آمادگی نظامی حتی در زمینه سرود و شعار هم هست و مسلمانان باید از هر وسیله‌ای برای نمایش قدرت و ایجاد ترس در دشمن استفاده کنند
