I completely agree with you! I was born in 1962. I must have played this song at least 100 times back in 1974. This song is from my childhood and the memories are so vivid with this song growing up on the beach. The 1970’s had the best music! Those were the days. God bless💜✝️☮️💜

Never heard this song till a few months ago. I can say Chuck’s vocals only got better from the 1973 version. Powerful 4 octave vocal range!

No, this is written by Leo Sayer for himself, when he was doing his sad clown character. Three Dog Night is just doing a cover of that.
