So, I've been wanting to take this adventure since getting my kayak! Three Days of Solitude is obviously a play on words, since my kayak is named Solitude. However it works in a couple ways! Three days of kayaking on the river, camping alone, and spending time in deep reflection!!!
It got tough a few times but boy was it worth it!
Please follow along and enjoy the video, who knows you may find yourself needing a few days of solitude also!!! Thanks for watching!!!

I did the Suwannee for 2 weeks with a motor and canoe. the most profound thing was seeing no people or talking to people for days. it is a good thing. Also I parked at Dowling Park and got a tow notice on my window. Luckily I was out before the Sherriff towed it. When you do not see or talk to people for days, you rely on YOURSELF. that is a good thing.

Shaun , I think I may have the same kayak, if that is a T12. Maybe the next time you go on a kayak camp trip you might do a load out video section, showing how you got everything organized. (unless it comes later on in this video) I am currently at the 16 minute mark watching. Thought I would ask while it was on my mind. I am trying to decide whether to change kayaks or just keep my battle ship and use it for camping. -Tony

Hello brother how you doing Sean? Man this was a good kayak camping video you did. I really enjoyed watching this. I can definitely agree with you on the frustration part man. They need to get the information correct and make some parking spaces for people who wants to camp overnight. Last thing you need is to have your vehicle towed when you hours away from home. You have a nice kayak man. The campsite look pretty nice man. Me and my family ( wife , 6th boys , granddaughter , & soon to be my grandson ) & my wife coworkers family ( wife , husband , & 2 boys ) we all went on a 30 mile kayak camping trip for memorial weekend and we had a blast. We love to kayak & kayak camping. I'm glad you was able to get camp set up before it started raining man. Your steak dinner look delicious man. I'm glad you took a break when you started overheating and cool your body down. If you had some change of clothes with you you should have jumped in the water to cool your body down really fast since the water was cold. I went through the same exact problem beginning of May. Me , a co-workers of mine , & hey buddy of mine went fishing in 95°degree heat with the heat index in the 100. It wasn't supposed to be 95° until late that afternoon but the weather man lied and it was 95° by 12:00 pm & I was drinking a lot of water but I still ended up overheating & my coworker and my buddy noticed that I wasn't looking right I wasn't responding correctly and not looked very very weak. So they got me off the water really really fast & try to get me cooled down as fast as possible. So I'm glad you got yourself cool down really fast man. Sean I have a couple of questions man? What kind of hammock setup are you using that is big boy friendly. I am building exactly like you and I am looking for a hammock camping setup. I'm using a tent for now cuz I was fade the hammock would break on me while sleeping. But I would like to get me a nice hammock setup man. & #2. In the video at 26:12 i like your Chaco Sandals you was wearing. I was curious to how comfortable they are to wear and would you recommend them. I having trouble finding my size and them because i have big very very extremely wide feet sz15 6E wide with very chubby fat wide toes that are equally straight across making my foot very very wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. My foot outgrew shoes , socks , boots when i was 18 years old & flip flops is the only footwear that will barely and i mean barely fit my foot because my toes are wider than the flip flops straps. I have to kayak Barefooted 👣 style because of my foot being so wide. It looks like you have a wide foot too so I was curious how well those sandals work for you & what size are they? I just found your Channel today and I really enjoyed watching your video. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos and I really appreciate the information if you could provide it for me. I hope you and your family have a nice Fourth of July weekend and holiday and please be safe out there. Thank you for sharing this video.

Hey Mack, im glad you enjoyed the video! As far as hammocks go. The hammock in the video is an Etrol pelican 3n1 hammock. I've used it for about a year but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it at this point. (Video coming on that soon)! Before that I used a cheaper double hammock with a heavy weight rating and an external bug net. My tarp is a DD 3X3 I LOVE IT!!!! How ever it's pretty expensive compared to a very very comparable 3X3 tarp in Amazon amzn.to/3I7Jwka! The sandals are actually Croc Swiftwater sandals! amzn.to/3yBWnI0 My feet are wide but I only wear a size 10 so im not sure if theyd have them in your size! I love them though, it's like walking around in tennis shoes!!! Thanks again for watching!

@@ReWyldOutdoors oh thank you so much for this information buddy I really appreciate this. I would definitely check this information out. Okay the Crocs are Swift Waters. That's what I'm afraid of I can't find them in my size. Man I wish my foot was a size 10. My doctor says that the reason why I'm having trouble finding Footwear for my foot is because of my toes being equally straight across instead of being at a 45° angle like shoes are made. One time I went on a kayak trip to my buddy's house late about a hundred miles away from home. When we was at the boat ramp my flip flop broke on me & I had to go the rest of the day barefooted 👣 wish I don't mind being barefooted 👣 because I'm 95% of the time anyway barefooted 👣. The problem was I had to go to Walmart and pick up some things & get some dinner which I had to go inside the restaurant to get because my truck was too big for they drive through. I was lucky that the restaurant didn't say anything to me about being barefooted 👣 or Walmart for walking around the store barefooted 👣 and the funny part about it the employees were looking down at my feet and saw that I was walking barefooted 👣. The only problem I had in Walmart was some teenage boys screamed out loud that a chubby fat man walking around barefooted 👣 with fat chubby wide toes. It pissed me off because I can't help that I have chubby fat wide toes that are equally straight across. But it was a nice 100 Mi drive back home being Barefooted 👣. Thank you so much for this information man I really do appreciate it. That's awesome to hear that you have a wide foot too & the sandals are working out great for you.

I have thought about a trip down to the state park that’s near lake city ., but when weather gets cooler .. I know in Nov I’ll be headed to the ga bushcraft fall gathering ,, y’all both should attend it , vendors , a nice raffle off at the end ,, probably a pretty good hidden treasure hunt. Last year yeti 45 full of all kinds of goodies I think value hit about 700 bucks

Pretty awesome video .. I didn’t have time to watch it earlier as I was finishing a forge and working on restoring a cast iron Dutch oven I got for free …. I look forward to seeing some more of your adventures and feel free to post them on our Facebook group .. maybe together we can get you over that 1000 sub mark soon

Oh man. Big mistake only having so little subscribers and already asking people to pay $ for content. Its a big reason why people dont sub, or unsub. Just a heads up.

Well, im not asking people to pay for content! Thats why im not monetized! I've got a patreon for those who want to support the channel but aren't being forced to by ads on youtube! I'm doing great, and I'm happy with the channel Thanks for the "heads up" though!
