Even if I like Three Days Grace more, I admit the fact that here Breaking Benjamin won. They have a higher complexity in their instrumental sounds. The thing that I like most at Three Days Grace is that they know how to send heavy feelings in their songs better than most rock bands. A colab between them two would be awesome (I think it already happened actually)

Breaking Benjamin has definitely hold up more throughout the years. More solos, metal influenced riffs, And personally I just think it fits so much better with Ben’s melodic but soaring vocals.

In my opinion they’re both great. Three Days Grace achieves simplicity at its best and Breaking Benjamin achieves at technicality.

I'm a huge fan of both but BB all the way. More to their riffs IMO

brandough crox aka ogb Lol Why is TDG bigger then them and has more singles that reached the rock billboard chart. Surpassed Van Halen on the rock billboard charts! So stfu and stop disrespecting legends.

BB has intense and creative riffs. TDG has more iconic riffs, and super simplistic (most of them). Yeah they both have NU metal elements, but TDG is more like grunge and BB is more on the heavy metal side.

actually their genre is called alternative metal. alt metal usually has melodic tunes. skilled/red/papa roach/element eighty/thousand foot krutch/now many alt metal bands do djent and breakdowns. u should check out seven-skyline divided. great prog alt metal with djent

I love both of these bands sooooo much. I miss Adam though. Haven't really gotten into much of the new songs. :( The latest Breaking Benjamin album is awesome though. :)

Lights Out by Breaking Benjamin has a Great Riff

Breaking Benjamin by far. Absolutely a beautiful, badass awesome band. Has maintained its same old rhythm, and we fans love them for it for not changing their ways, and is constantly gaining new fans. Much more relatable, Ben's voice displays powerful emotions from raw rage, anger, softness to utterly broken and bitter cold pain. Also, they're not the type of band where each song has a definite meaning. It's up to you to see it however way you can, or, if you're one of those people who you can relate. It's never just straight up gay ass love/romance music, again, it's more about the thoughts. Ranging from all kinds of emotions. Another thing, band has had an amazing reputation for years. Ben is inspirational, their awesome logo, each album is NEVER, a letdown. Three days grace. Is everywhere. Once loved by many but over the years are losing fans. Band isn't what it once was. Always has that edgy dark type of tone which I like, but sometimes it's just not necessary. It's exaggerated. Band leader left so that's a big fuck cuz originals are always better. I could go on. This is coming from a fan of both however I prefer breaking ben to listen to all day compared to TDG where it's only here and then. Loved breaking benjamin for years, much more unique, powerful, extraordinary and just unbelievable to how far they've come. Hell, the world (or at least us fans) exploded when Failure and Angels Fall came out ultimately confirming Breaking Benjamin was back after such a long hiatus. Breaking Benjamin for the one. 👍

As much as I love Breaking Benjamin, I have to choose Three Days Grace for guitar work; their riffs seem to be a little more intricate and memorable especially Riot, Animal I've Become, I Hate Everything About You (which sounds exponentially better on acoustic guitar), and Lost in You. However, I prefer Breaking Benjamin as a whole because they write better songs, and Ben Burnley has a unique voice. Since Adam Gontier left Three Days Grace, they don't have the same appeal that they had when he fronted the band.

I disagree. I think Breaking Benjamin's songs are waaay more complex with their riffs. TDG has always been, to me, about "raw sound", conveying emotion. They do it with heavy strumming and blunt vocals rather than anything technically complex. It's probably what made them so popular, to be honest.

People keep comparing the riffs which I know it's a guitar video but the only things that really matters about music is the entertainment and power it can carry.

Fun fact, original Three Days Grace singer left the band in 2012, for Health issues. He is currently in Saints Asonia, while the lead singer from My Darkest Days is currently the lead singer of TDG.

I think that it would good if it was Saint Asonia intstead TDG, because TDG haven't got enough powerfull riffs.

Sure Breaking Benjamin is way better than TDG now since Adam left, but come on, the new TDG albums arent THAT BAD. Ofcourse they arent as good as the old TDG, but they still release good alt rock albums by today's standards. (IMO)

@@kappachino2569 I get what u mean, but all the people saying that the modern TDG releases trash music is just overwhelming. (compared to the old TDG this is somewhat true). Though that is why i absolutely adore bands like Breaking Benjamin. A decade or two has passed and they still managed to keep the same formula that was always loved by fans from the start. Some bands fail to maintain the same formula without just sounding repetitive.

Personally Breaking Benjamin for me has better riffs. I like Three Days Grace a lot more with all the meaning in their songs. So for me BB is better riffs but TDG is the better band. Just my opinion though after seeing both play live. Regardless I really enjoy both of them and would see them again given the chance.

Personally I think 3 days Grace's songs are more relatable for me, overall I prefer the melody and lyrics also I just love Adam's voice ( a shame he's no longer with them) but if we only focus on the guitar then I gotta admit BB agressive riffs take the cake and have overall more Energy, not necessarly emotion but Energy yes.

I think that, although Breaking Benjamin had more consistently good riffs, the riffs to Animal I have Become, I hate Everything About You, The Good Life, and Just Like You by Three Days Grace are just so iconic and amazing and I just don't think Breaking Benjamin had anything that can top it in the video.

noobnapalmwarfare2 that’s the thing. TDG have always made sure their riffs are simple and iconic while with BB the riff is just one piece to the puzzle, usually making a soaring chorus the focus. But BB have had their riffs front and center like in Breaking the Silence, Feed the Wolf, Topless, and some others. I still like BB more though :P

I think BB wins in riffs alone, but TDG has far more memorable songs. It's like a Megadeth vs Metallica, Megadeth has more complex riffs but Metallica has always had more of an appeal in melody and memorability.

Zachary Drake most of the Outsider and Human album would disagree. Transit to Venus was hit or miss though.

infrared, nothing to lose but you, the abyss, the new real, strange days, and imo their best song since chalk outline, I am machine... their skills haven't gone out the window imo

I don't know, but I still like it though. Although I would admit, some few aren't my cup of tea.

yeah I disagree, I think the songwriting has, in it's own way, sort of improved. It IS a different style, but Matt is also a different person. I think that the took the more symbolic approach to songwriting (Infra-red and Right, Left, Wrong) and I also think that, while human wasn't the best, Outsider turned a new page in the TDG legacy. Except for Me against You. That was a terrible song by all means. Besides, Transit sucked

My all time favorite is breaking Benjamin but back when I was sixteen it was three days grace
