Three Country Corner Route 1 of 10 (Train Simulator 2014)

Ойындар

The "Three Country Corner Route" is a tour de force in route design, with stunning scenery, country-specific signalling systems and custom objects throughout. In this video I tackle scenario #1 of 10 (the introductory route) which has me driving a BR101 locomotive and starts at Lake Constance in Germany on the Island of Lindau and follows the shores of the lake down to the city of Bludenz in Austria.

Smaller plattforms don't have stopmarkers for different lengths of trains because they have to stop at the end of the platform anyway in order to fit on the plattform. The computer tells you "Zugbeeinflussung" which is a warning that the computer is going to take influence on the train's speed (beeinflussung means influence). Keep having a look at the lower left display. It shows the platform of your next stop and the distance. Regarding the "wrong" speed indications: They are meant for trains not stopping at the station coming up.

The end where you zoomed in on the woman's face got me😂😂. Anyway, I've taken a train like you've driven here to visit my sister at college and they are wonderful. I'm from the US and I take a train from Chicago to St. Louis. The whole train has its own wifi, there is a cafe cart for food, and best yet: each seat has its own outlet plug (so your phone doesn't die). Since riding the train, I've been dying to see a video! Great job!!!

Markers will usually be used at stations if they want you to stop before the end of the platform. If not there, assume you're stoping at the end. You can usually tell where you'll be stoping, depending on where benches, shelters, bridges etc are on platform.

"Zug beeinflussen" is the phrase shouted at you, whilst you're driving either too fast or in an irrelavant way. Usually it really only should be transmitted by the time you're driving too fast, but the game can't always realize the circumstances.

Just to explain the first couple of kilometers: The orange and green signal means: Proceed with 40 until you're pass certain point of interest (usually switches), then continue with track speed. That's why you had a speed limit of 40, despite passing the track speed indicator that said 50. You can see that at 6:35 the speed limit changes to 50 after the back of your train has cleared the switches. And what you said later about distant signals and main signals in Austria is basically the same in Germany. But in Germany that is only the old H/V signaling system, which still is very common. The new Ks-signaling system is a bit different (Hamburg - Hanover route in the game for example). They are however both in use. Then there are also special signals in former eastern germany that don't exist in western germany, plus another signalling system (HI-signals) which is also still in use in the east.

The do the platform markers in the UK too. They use markers such as 6 up , 7 up etc. They tell the driver where to stop depending on the the length of the train , so 6 up would be 6 carriages.

You should learn to use the AFB system. It's basically cruise control. It'll give you more time to read the signage. The controls for AFB will surely be in the manual for the DLC or otherwise in an other manual for a DB train. Usually the 'Y' key increases the AFB and the 'C' key decreases it and the current set speed is shown by the red bug on the speedo. It'll break and give speed as needed depending on terrain and track friction. Beware of the voice telling you that AFB is activated, freaked me out the first time I used it. As always, thanks for a great vid!

Micha Grill Es kommt drauf an. :-)
