Thred Up can be very frustrating and I’ve had some major fails but once you get the hang of it I think it’s worth it. It’s so much easier for me to find higher and mid range brands than at Goodwill. Like I can’t really afford a whole closet of Madewell, J Crew, Anthropologie, etc brand new, but I can on thred up. They are so dead wrong on their measurements though which is frustrating when wanting to try an unfamiliar brand.

I agree! It’s good to shop brands you already are familiar with. I love nice athletic wear like Athleta but would’ve only been able to buy like 4 pieces at retail prices for how much I spent on ThredUp🙃😅 The measurements are iffy the one that seems the most accurate is rise in my opinion.

I hate that thredup doesnt post photos of the inside tag. It would help SO MUCH. Especially with things like Abercrombie jeans that will explain exactly what style they are. They always say “boyfriend jeans” in the description even if they arent and it infuriates me. Lol

I have been know to hit the little box that lets you basically report an item error for multiple reasons. I once saw a “new with tags” jacket that had a HUGE stain. Just because its nwt doesnt mean its not damaged! lol i feel like their description efforts are that of a man “uhhh its a purple shirt thats possibly a small, but idk” lolll

Great review. I love thrifting and I’ve been wanting to get some great quality pieces without hurting my pockets. I’m also trying not to support any fast fashion companies any longer and while sustainability fashion is great and I’ve seen some clothing brands here on the net (not many) the prices are pricey 😂. I think thrifting is the best and where you thrift from because I rather go to a store that doesn’t resale Shein LOL! I have a closet of that already. Also, I’d like to find vintage items and I know they can be a little pricey but it’s OK quality over quantity.

I agree with the measurements being very iffy with ThredUp! I have a love/hate relationship with them. I got several pairs of jeans from them that said they're high-rise in the description and based on the measurements but when I received them they were actually mid-rise 😕 can be pretty frustrating... and wasn't really worth returning them because not worth my time but also got them on sale for less than $10 so not worth paying the 3.99 for the restocking fee or whatever. I wish they had better descriptions/measurements and more photos of the items.

Same! Especially tag pics that would not be a hard addition in my opinion and a lot of times tags list the style, material, etc…

You should buy yourself a battery operated pilling shaver, I have had the same one for over 30 years & they are so easy to use & you will be surprised as to how much comes off when shaving

personally, thredup has been a terrible experience for me. they keep canceling my orders with no explanation and when i try to find out why- i can never get in contact with anyone. their customer service is awful tbh. for anyone interested in purchasing from there, I'd recommend any other place over it.

Oh no 😭 I have had overall good experiences. Some slight inconveniences like the navy shorts (that looked black) / mismatch tank. At the end of the day both of those were kinda my fault. I should’ve looked harder. I’m sorry you experienced that though!! It’s good to know what other people experience.
