Hi. Thanks for your comment. In common terminology a threatened abortion may causally be referred to as a Miscarriage, but strictly speaking, according to medical terminology, these are 2 different medical conditions.

Well not exactly. Abortion could mean both an induced or natural expulsion of the fetus. The topic of concern here is a threatened abortion, which means an impending abortion. It is a condition wherein, if brought to medical notice early and if proper treatment is initiated, the abortion can be avoided and the fetus can be saved.
