THREAD: Ten Terrible Albums By Artists I Love

Музыка

Chris from Rekkid Talk follows the lead of recent videos by ‪@mazzysmusic‬ , ‪@lostmixtapes‬ , and ‪@amitytracks‬. Here are some bad records (mostly in the Cee Dee format) by artists that I really like, including the de rigueur choice of a Neil Young album and a metal rekkid that's going to get me in trouble in the comments down below.

I loved your takes on it !!! that's a pretty cool album - 7th son!!!! Turbo came out when Somewhere in time!!! you forgot Quiet Riot- Condition critical you for got Def Leppard - Hysteria questions 1. which album do you like better Iron Maiden - 7th son or Dance with death? 7th son or it's a matter of life and death? 2. which Judas Priest album do you like better Point of Entry or - Turbo? 3. what do you think about Van Halen - Diver down?

Quiet Riot and Def Leppard don't make the list of artists I love. As for your questions. 1. I like Dance of Death better although it's also not a favorite. 2. Point of Entry although "Out In The Cold" is better than anything on Point of Entry. 3. I like Diver Down and rate it pretty high among Van Halen albums. If I had used Van Halen for this video, it would have been one of the Sammy rekkids.

@@RekkidTalk 1. Defnatley 7th son ove It's a matter of life and death. 7th son is in my top 7 favorite Iron Maiden albums. Dance with death is 10 or onward. 2. Point of Entry classic tunes Turbo has a drum machine. Point of Entry but both albums are good. 3. Not an 11nth place album , not 10 or 9 but somewhere around 5th to 7 th place on their album rankings.. some good cover tunes but a short album Diver down.

Oh, yeah. Turbo and Seventh Son were my last purchase of both bands until about 13 years ago when I finally went back to both bands to see what I’d missed. Yes, I like Turbo Lover, too. That’s it!

I have all the Maiden albums except the Blaze Bayley ones, I definitely like some later ones but my favorites are the usual suspects from the early to mid 80s. I don't have any later Priest rekkids, though.

@@RekkidTalk I like a few Maiden albums from Brave New World onwards. But I find they reuse a lot of riff styles like their gallops. The latest Judas Priest albums are good but sound like Judas Priest. It’s like you get exactly what you’d expect, no surprises good or bad. “Yup, that’s a Priest album.”

Hey! Your channel namechange threw me a curveball, but now I can watch another video from Chris 😊 Hey, there’s that Neil Young CD I didn’t buy because… well, the recording process derailed me. For completion reasons perhaps but with his frequency that won’t happen. Yes, I don’t agree! Ha ha (Iron Maiden). But I do agree with that Mudhoney album. I… can’t stand it. Was it self sabotage? Extensial problems because they left Sub•Pop?!? Interesting and sometimes in line with my own views there Chris. Take care man, have a great week. Cheers from Morten 🎸

Intersting stuff, I’m in the weird position of considering myself a huge Mudhoney fan yet dislike all their albums bar the debut, I would love to find their 48 track comp ‘March To Fuzz’ I’ve never heard Varshons 2, Varshons 1 was not exactly fantastic. The Lemonheads recently appeared in Southampton, it was horrible, Evan was totally out of it, the hall emptied out after 30 minutes. I actually hope he’s ok.

I don't have March To Fuzz. I'd like it to hear the rarities disc. Varshons 2 isn't any better and is maybe worse than Varshons. I saw Evan a few years ago and I caught him on a good day, but he goes off the rails a lot.

Thats one Iron Maiden I dont even own. They can get really bloated and boring for sure. I never got all the way through Senjitsu. Turbo is great! I hated it when I was younger but find it fun now. I hate when those 80s indie bands signed to majors and sold out. Like Mudhoney, even Butthole Surfers and Sonic Youth. Replacements' Tim was on a major and amazing though.
