Idk what world you’re living in where “newer” accounts already have a 7* Leviathan, but it’s not the real world. I have an 4 year arena shard, and we have a single person with a 4* leviathan. By the time fleet arena is “gated behind this fleet” several people will be able to work the Chimera counter. “A” for being edgiest edgelord of this thread, “F” for content.

​@rustyshackleford173 while I agree that having fleets that are nigh unstoppable in every aspect of the game is bad design and hurts the game, blaming only Arnold is unfair. There were LOTS of high end whales and kraken that also complained that they're shiny new ship was getting its poop pushed back in. CG has shown they watch ahnald for testing, but they listen to the people paying to keep this game alive. That's why things like sisters gets looked at once they dare to counter a GL. Blame the kraken that suck at the game and need the best toys to stay at the top

As a Leviathan owner, I don't really like this change. I agree that the ship should be buffed, but I felt that it needed two changes: 1) something to do other than basics after ultimate, like an AoE or some special that unlocks. The fleet is so linear that I don't really have to make decisions at any point, which is what makes the game fun. And/or 2) change the captured ship's abilities so they work with Sith. Capturing the enemy capital ship just doesn't feel meaningfully different than destroying it. A captured Profundity basically has nothing to do aside from basics as its kit is so tied to Rebels. This buff is good, but it's just generically good. It doesn't make the Leviathan any more interesting.

Profundity special 2 calls the target to assist 2x, use it on a non-dagger and you can do some hefty damage. Executor, basically the only good thing is the heal. But yea, nothing really battle changing once you take them over.

I agree with this I really wanted them to make it so the captured capital ships abilities had synergy with Sith ships that would make the ultimate so much better and the fleet much more fun to use over all

I think the reason they didn’t need this empire counter to be needed can be explained by my roster. They LOOOOVE the inquisitors. But the inquisitors sucked. So the added GI. He made them better, but still expensive for all the gear and not really worth it. The decided to make more incentive to go for GI by adding his ship. As someone who sees the value of ships, I started going for my inquisitors. When his ship first came out, he had a great counter to the current meta. By the next conquest, that counter was nerfed. I literally dropped my inquisitors so hard. I saw no benefit in having GI’s ship. They now incentivize you to go for inquisitors because of Reva, but that is gated behind a guild event so they are going to incentivize you to get inquisitors by making GI’s ship a key in the current meta.

Who will tell him about the Mace Windu soloing Leviathan?

As far as I have seen, then the Profundity vs Leviathan is all about spamming Outriders second special as much as possible, to get the ult of before Leviathan. This also includes using Profundity's basic on Outrider to speed up the process.

It's always been good on offense (once you get to 6 stars so you can outrace the other capital ships to Ultimate anyway). It's holding against other capital ships on defense that has been the problem.

If we had foresight, do we successfully dodge this update?

Question i have is, if they come out with another meta fleet, that will be even to this, because of the light side strangle hold they put out, it would almost have to be another dark side fleet, unless they decided to put something like red5 out that negated a bunch of these light side holds. I feel CG has kinda pigeon holed themselves now.

Mirror matches is a completely different conversation. But vs non-mirror matches not a good ship over TIE Dagger.

Not sure what my opponent used in round one this GAC, but they dropped a battle against my Leviathon. Didn't matter in the end because Rey stonewalled them, but it could have made the difference

Thrawn be like: "CG, with their buffs, will be the architects of their own destruction" *proceeds to play "no escape" on extremely high volume while destroying the Leviathan*

I don’t think they should nerf any of the empire stuff. Those conquest units are doing what they should do and it takes away from the other off meta counters to meta ships like profundity and executor so you can only pick one meta ship to counter with chimaera. That is a VERY expensive counter. We don’t want the ship to be completely unbeatable. I like this ship where it’s at right now. Although I wish after the ultimate the captured capital ships abilities had synergy with sith ships. That would make the ultimate so much more impactful

Maybe start with Biggs and call rebel Y wing as the reinforcement? So Biggs east up the isolate and they’ll still be stuck behind the y wing lol

Just give every new capital ship the most speed and an auto delete button. That seems to be what everyone wants out of every new capital ship.

My new arena experience: unlock requirement Empire Chimera and G12 Iden is 1/4 beating 7 star Levi. Unlock requirement Rebes Profundity is 0/6 beating 7 star Levi. 5 star Levi is 1/5 beating 7 star Levi.

TIE Dagger starting lineup? I know it can 3 man the Sith Fighter lineup easily. Sith Fighter starting is not good. Not saying it is impossible with the TIE Dagger lineup but noticeably harder. It is ok if Profundity beats Leviathan but probably not for max banners. Besides, you basically HAVE to underdog Leviathan with Profundity haha not like you have the choice to bring in all your reinforcements! I would be surprised if Profundity cannot win. I just expect it to be harder and have to adjust the strategy.

I think Prof can still beat Leviathan. Will just be a bit trickier. Probably should have ran another battle or 2.

So no one can get a somewhat decent crystal income in fleet arena anymore unless they have Levi

Does not seem to work against r9 sith fighter in the opening line with r6 Thrawn and r7 vader. Levi reinforces before TIE x1 big shot, the reinforcement freezes TIE x1, Levi team destroys scithe next, and nothing can be done. Maybe random loss, Levi is quite randomized.

Now Levi is so buffed and op that i wonder if theres never gonna be any new fleet more coming after this.. Because CG cant introduce better fleet or if they do, it has to be something like 2 ship instakill immediatly at start😅 I guess whales are satisfied now..🙈 Maybe Leia need some op buff which is only available at web store🤫(bc i'm pretty sure it wont perform good enough in new raid when it comes)😅

It really sucks how much of this ships kit they’ve locked behind 7*. If anything needs to be changed it should be that. Buff the 4* leviathan!

iliterally just saw this in my GAC today (7* levi) and just said screw it I lost. with the counter nerfs there is no winning for me which is just depressing and bad. like going against a 4 GL defense plus starkiller, plus malgus, plus other strong datacron teams, and doing well but getting locked by a ship that you cant even attempt to beat is horrible. i get that scythe can counter but not having that mean literally no options now which is again bad

They fix one thing and screw up another, thats another day for Swgoh...

Well crap that means i need to work on quiz to unlock my scythe (440/330).

I think they should leave this chimera counter alone. It would be very dumb to devalue our conquest ships. Especially when one of the pilots takes a team of r5+ just to even use the damn ship. It’s an extremely high gated counter in my opinion.

Sith fighter was never about being the best lineup, it just better on Defense in the mirror

If you don’t have a 7 star leviathan then you won’t get the isolate. 🙄

Levi is still trash below 7*. The upgrade for isolate is 7* only. So get wrecked (on defense) for 1-2yrs after unlock.

Looks like my 6 star Leviathan held against a 5 star Profundity to win my GAC so it's significantly better than it was before even at lower stars. The Isolate is gated behind 7 stars though which is a bit of a pain. Won't be for long since it's going to 7 stars at the next event, but still worth noting.

Still easily countered by Chimaera. It feels a LOT better now, and Profundity isn't scoring a 77 banner win (it can still win though, which I'm OK with). But I am super over Chimaera/Empire fleets somehow always finding a way to counter the new meta ships :P

Offense and TM gains will always be the off-meta counters to everything. Doesn't matter how much special shit you can do if you just get punched in the face or if you never get a turn to do it

All their effort to screw over everyone with profundity, they opened it up to an even weaker ship

It should still be better fornthe cost. It should at least have some time to be dominant like Executor was before Prof. And they need to do something so it's not by far the most BORING of the top 5 or 6 fleets. The whole fleet is just dull. Sad if game developers thought it would be fun. No big hits, no swarms. Even after ult its just pew.....pew.....pew.

This counter takes 2 Conquest units 3 Legendaries 1 whatever the hell Vader is It absolutely represents equal investment to Leviathan. CG has zero right nerfing it

Easy fix for defender, make all sith ships under leviathan have undodgeable attacks, that stops the turn meter train immediately

As a payer who has a 6 star Leviathan without having spent a dollar on SWGOH in the past year (and I have 2 guildmates who are completely F2P who will be getting their Leviathans to 7 stars next week) I find this laughable.

Also where is the fun in playing a game that you just need to put it auto and you now know that you will win 100% and that even before the reworks...

I unlocked Leviathan and got it to 6 stars on the second time the event ran without spending a single dollar on the game in the past year. Not disputing that it's friendlier to the P2W players but it's not completely gated.
