This series needs more love. Definitely going to be recreating that one
More of this please
Any time you use a power saw, wear breathing protection! Your lungs can’t dispose metal/concrete dust! Great video, good job maintaining skate parks. You guys are awesome!
I helped build a bit of this spot back in 2017. Josh is very friendly and just an awesome person to be around. If you’re in San Fran, stop by Treasure Island, plenty to see and do

That thing looks like so Much fun.
What a spot! 😍

Yeah the spine is great and happy to see yall getting involved in such projets thats cool On the other hand isnt the location in the park odd in a way i mean one way of the spine is facing the park and the other is like 4 meters away from a metal fence isnt it weird to get away from it into a wall ? Keep going guys

Skreet it out, keep trowling it….I think homie just made up these words but I am here for it 🙌 I wasn’t even looking at the screen when he said these things yet somehow I knew exactly what he meant 😂
It would be nice to know the cost of these projects. Like supplies, manpower needed, and time to complete

These are DIY projects so the only cost would be for your concrete as everything else was salvaged and he had friends help him build it hope that helps
Elissa rules
Yeah Louie!
I could watch hours of that crew session
I used to skate and I do construction now, it would be awesome to be apart of one of these builds
Nice 😀

Louie and tony!!!!!!!!
Austin is the best
Advice for all the beginners: You really dont need a generator to cut metal, just a cordless angle grinder (battery driven)
🔥
what slump concrete did you use?
love this shit
Hey! Wear some steel toed boots if you can get 'em. Sick video boys
Order your mud at like a 3 slump if it's hot out 3 and a bit

Yes, they were adding dirt into their fill. I would guess to help pack out the crevices a bit more.
♡
I’ve always wanted to skate with Louie Barletta haha
I get what you are trying to do with this and its great to get people out making skate stuff, but yea ignore everything they say if you live in places where freeze thaw is a factor... You need to dig bellow frost, and pour a footing first. You want compacted stone for fill. Also you need way more than 3" of concrete more like 6". You need to drill into the surrounding concrete to anchor the new concrete. You need a lot of rebar. If you make it like they do all your hard work will be for nothing as mother nature will turn your spine into rubble after a winter. Also for the love of god wear an N95 mask if you have to cut concrete. Silicosis is real and not reversible.

you do know this is a DIY skate park, Could potentially get torn down at some point, this happened in my city of Charlotte. I’ve been a Mason for over 10 years and this is more than suffice for what they are trying to accomplish

Nice spin but, straight into a fence is not ideal lol. Feel like you have to powerslide out every time or send it the other way.
Unsolicited info but if you get cracks in your hardened concrete, its probably due to moisture loss while curing which causes the concrete to shrink. Prevent this by covering the wet concrete with some damp towels in the first 24 hours
T-Island!
😌🙌🏽
It’s smarter to use the truck IMO. So you and your homies can have more time to shred it before the place get demolished for whatever reason. It happened to us twice.
If the coping just sits on the concrete instead of being welded to rebar or other supports, wouldn't it bounce lose once people skate it?

its a big pole, cover it in pva whilst finishing the concrete.

Should of used a quickie saw you cut the concrete easier. Forgot to mention the psi strength on the concrete. Great video overall though 👍
Fuck Yeah
When working with concrete dust chipping or cutting make sure you wear a respirator. Silica dust isn't something to fuck with
👍🏼👍🏼
スケボーダーは、大工作業も出来ると望ましい❤
All you need is 100 bags of concrete and an industrial cement mixer
🤙rade
I bet Austin shapes good surfboards
Dope ass process to watch but is there anyway you'd do like a d.i.y. spine out of say cinder blocks and a curb? Something more attainable for the common-dude
i ant doin allat
that thing looks fuuuun
Yeah you smithyFrank!!!
That was cool when you “screte it”, but you could always just screed it instead. Thanks for at least getting closer to proper concrete work than previous videos. We all have to start somewhere, but there’s no reason to teach bad work techniques.. and tell Yoshi to put on a respirator when cutting.
Holaaaaaaaaaaaaaa saludos jejeje :)
