Scott is EXTREMELY lucky to have done this with the Master. They're BOTH great players. The difference I see between TE and everyone else playing his stuff is That everyone else is copying him (which never sounds as good as the original), and TE is a more "dynamic" player. He puts more of himself into every note, and expresses key facets from chord and key changes much more obviously than other player of his music. The differences between being the Master and the student.

What I really like when Tommy teaches and plays with people in a situation such as this, is that he still pours himself into the music. I think that makes it a lot more rewarding for the student to see that Tommy is enjoying himself as well. Well played, must've been a lot of fun! I find his flatpicking songs to be quite tricky, but you've got it down nicely. :) Thanks for uploading the videos.

what a generous man to do something like this before a show. Most folks would want to be rested or whatever, but he seems to be tireless to share with people. Good on him. Good on you.

You are very lucky to have had this opportunity! I heard about his concert in Oslo Norway only a month after he had been here :x He seems like a great guy from what I find with him around the net, not just an amazing guitarist.

How cool would it be if years from now some kid posts a video of himself playing with Scott Tsai and all the comments are "Whoa! You played with Scott!?!"? I really think it could happen. So awesome seeing one generation giving to the next.

WOW. Loved your video clip. Truly imspiring to watch. You must be an accomplished player to have picked up what you did... just in this clip. I'd love to hear/see what you play... (I plan to explore your YT channel shortly). I just saw TE in Austin last weekend. 2nd time for me. Just wonderful. He truly is an amazing musician. Thanks for sharing.

haha! I wish my hands were big enough to play this song the way TE plays it. It kinda bugs me when I gotta keep "watering down" a song to make it playable for myself, but I definitely feel you on that one. Tommy Emmanuel is one soulful dude.

Even if there's pressure it's the pressure of joy that I'd take anyday. Just simply observing how Tommy interacts with different people regardless of the skill level he just seems like the perfect person to enjoy music with.

i originally gave up trying to learn this song for the same reason you mentioned within this video. My hand simply isn't large enough to pull off some of the combinations which are listed in the tabs for this song...it upsets me that something physical will limit me from being able to play such an amazing song

As i wrote to yur first video, you bith nailed it, but why don´t you upload the whole video you have? I am sure many people would like to see it whole, not only the parts when you are playing with Tommy. But not like someone would get bored of it, just to see everything that happened in the backstage.

Hey darqs! I have good news for you. Alvarez makes a mini (perhaps 3/4 size) dreadnought that sounds pretty good for 400 dollars. It's called an MSDI. I have the same problem as you with small hands. (my videos bear this out.) I'd check them out! I may get one JUST so that I can perform pieces like this. As it is, I put the capo on 2nd fret with a blueridge BR-183. : ) gare
