    That's one amazing picture. I hiked the Laugavegur which stopped at Thorsmork and it's indeed a fantastic area to hike, although I think the area between Landmannalaugar and Alftavatn is even more beautiful. The trip back to cvilization is an adventure on its own. At a certain moment the bus started to float... Not something I experience every day :) The only disadvantage is the weather that can be very changeable. One day you have the opportunity to shoot the photo of a lifetime, the other day you will only see clouds and rain.

    When you how to Thorsmork, usually you stay at a compground. When you go to the Volano Huts you will have to cross a tough river, so it’s better to call them to pick you up at the river. But that’s just my advice 😉

    We are going in July and wish to do this hike, can this be done in one day ? What is the distance of the hike upto the viewpoint?

  • @DreamBig

    @DreamBig

    1 hour 😁 to the viewpoint, but there are many, many trails in the area for day hike. I recommend to stay at least 2 days in Thorsmork. You will never regret it 😉

    Before the Human race began Iceland Was Matopia the Impirial Kingdom of Gods Monsters and Robotic Armies. Then the Great War for the Great Power of Matopia broke out wich led the Gods Monsters and Robots to Hybernate so that Earth may resume to peace. Now it is Called Iceland.
