The park looks incredible, but it should never be allowed to get into the state where such a wide spread cleanup is needed.

I really hope in the future they remove storm surge and the beach area. Personally it’s such an eyesore

Just realised the lift hill wasn’t even close to halfway in this video because a few days ago Hyperia is more than halfway. But honestly once the lift hill is complete, Thorpe Park would have an amazing skyline

stupid question but how do they drain rumba rapids, tidal wave etc. where does the water go

For rumba it drains into the reserve lake in the middle of the ride, tidal wave is a little more complex than this. From what i understand of how the chute the chute models work is they have a series of pumps and drains to send water from the ride pool into storage. Now from what ive seen from tidal wave, theres two systems and a backup system/pump for each. Because theres no main storage resovoir id imagine the lake used for rumba rapids is also sending water to tidal wave via a series of pipes, pumps and filters. You can sort of see this in action as the pumps do operate regularly during operation to keep on top of water levels, ph and general cleanliness of said water. With that all said, this is just using my logic of infrastructure and theme park design by in no means am i a thorpe park engineer. Hoping this helps!
