I wish this guy would come back, I remember when he used to do Q and As and actually talked about the parks etc.
Lots of people are saying that they wish that wicked witch and rabbits tropical travel was not burned however if it wasn't for the fire Detonator and Nemesis inferno would not be in the park

Actually, almost ALL of the thrill rides would NOT be there because that's what catalysed the change in audience for the park

Itz Yasin_Islam they would of moved some thrill rides in, as the majority didn’t come to Thorpe Park because the ‘not much thrilling rides.’ You can find this when you buy a picture book on any ride.

Too many similar types of rollercoaster rides now.The balance of rides has gone too far the other way I think.Magic Mill/Wicked Witch was timeless but did take up a lot of land!

Remove angry birds land it’s useless
I used to work during my school Easter and Summer holidays at Thorpe Park from around 1981-83. I worked as a litter picker, walking around the park with a black bin bag and a grabber on a pole. It was amazing exercise, I reckon I did about 12-15 miles a day and had the freedom of the park. I never got used to how filthy the habits were of the visitors. I used to follow behind some families picking up their discarded trash. I also had a summer working the rides for the small kids and also had various roles in the ghost house ride. This ride comprises of seats for up to 4 in the shape of a black sea shell. The linked shells would wind around and even go to a second level past an array of sets to frighten the visitors. Upstairs there was a large glass panel that the shells passed that looked down on to a Tudor feast made up of animatronics moving robotically. I remember having to clean the panel with colleagues at the end of each day with a bucket and cloth as it was covered in spittle. We decided to catch these people in the act. When teenage suspects clambered on we followed by standing on the platform next to the shell which was like a cowl. They were not even aware we were there looking directly at them because their eyes had not adjusted to the dark. Sure enough when we got to the Tudor scene they began with the spitting, I leaned over turned on the torch to uplight my face and bellowed ‘STOP THAT!’ Their reaction was priceless, no doubt some wet themselves, but hey, they were there to be frightened no?
Please return I need an updated Thorpe park and Alton towers history :(
It's such a shame he hasn't uploaded since! Still some of the best theme park videos ever! And I'm sure we all would love to see him upload again!

I really like your videos!! May I ask what you edit with thx Keep up the good work!! And maybe you could do Lightwater Valley.
Just 2 weeks ago I was at Thorpe Park in our trip to London and me and my sister both had Ultimate Fast Passes! It was great fun, We went on Derren Brown's Ghost Train, Rush, Zodiac, Quantum, Rumba Rapids, Flying Fish (lol), X (two times), Nemesis Inferno, Colossus, The Swarm (two times) and I probably missed some. By the way, I was expecting our visit to Thorpe Park for about 2 months before we went there, and it just happened to be that the day before we went there I had 39° Celsius fever for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE. I had to stay in the hotel while my family went out to some museums that day. I was so scared that I wouldn't go to Thorpe, but luckily in the morning, my fever dropped to 37.5° Celsius, and I was just really careful in the park not to accidentally kill myself, but it turned out fine and I had lots if fun... Whoo... that was a lot of typing. Congrats if you made it to here.

tbh the last five years at Thorpe park have been very terrible: 2013: Off year with X refurbishment 2014: Angry birds land, not that impressive 2015 Another off year with the Celeb Maze 2016: Okay year when DBGT ACTUALLY worked 2017: The 3rd off year in the last 5 years with DBGT refurbishment

Excavation concluded in 1971 and the site was flooded. RMC decided to plan a leisure attraction in which planning permission was granted for the part of the site to be filled with land.
Coincidentally, I went to Thorpe Park on Monday! I went on X for the first time and I LOVED the ride! I went on Vortex for the first time and it was probably the most intense flat ride I have done, I went on Tidal Wave for the first time and got Drenched (no pun intended), the second time I went on X I hit my elbow really hard and hurt like hell (ha. Vekoma!), had a pizza buffet where I had 6 pizzas and 2 garlic breads and was disappointed with I'm A Celebrity maze. There was also an event themed to Transformers where they gave out free comics, let us play a little game where I got 12th (or 12nd as it said on the screen XD) out of the whole park! And you go up stairs, a table with transformers toys and masks, and get out by going down a slide was way better than I'm A Celebrity!

In 1976, the World Water Ski Championships were held on site and the park was well under construction.
After the demolition of the Thorpe Park Estate in years prior, the site wars used as a gravel pit between 1941 and 1971, owned and operated by the Ready Mix Concrete Group.

The most gutting thing is a couple of years after this video was made, Thorpe Park confirmed that logger’s leap was permanently closed. There is a rumour floating around that there will be a new roller coaster coming in 2024 where the water ride was. Personally, I think they should have built a new water ride that was at logger’s leap’s standards. I know they have depth charge, rumba rapids, tidal wave and storm surge, but you don’t get the real excitement value. Especially if they don’t end up running at certain times.
I visited once, my dad and I (10/11yo) walked from Egham (through woods), we arrived to find it was not yet open to the public, I think parts were still under construction. Needless to say, I was rather upset! The people were very nice though, and asked if I'd give my opinion. I remember telling them off that the pirate ship had a metal bridge, it should be wood; I got to see a few WW2 planes up close in the hanger, I sat in the fighter which I thought was made for a child to fly, the leg room perfect size for me! I also got to use the fire hose, the guy had to hold the hose, taking the majority of the weight, and if he hadn't been stood behind me I would have been catapulted back! I also got to shoot a pistol at paper cups. They shared their sandwiches, and provided me with pop and dad with tea. It was the most fun I've ever had at any park!

Where have you gone we want you back
Cool! Thorpe park really needed some kiddie rides: Now we need some family rides like duel at Alton towers and a spinning coaster like dragons fury. I know it would be great for some new thrill coasters, but I went there about 4 years ago with my parents and my parents hated the place because it was just full of rude teenagers and had no families. Plus I was just about a centimetre too short for the top 5 coasters so I was really missing out on what the park has to offer. I haven't been there since, and to be honest, I would like to go desperately; but I would prefer to go back to alton towers again!!!
