This year, for #the100dayproject2024 I am working on using some of the bits I have stashed away that have become "too precious" to use. Honestly, most of my stash feels that way. So, it's time for me to break that mindset and use some of these items. I'm calling it my Not Precious Project and you can find more about it in my blog post here: www.craftyhope.com/2024/02/th...
In this video, I start by working with a shrine shadowbox I created on the laser cutter and some old papers. Bits and pieces get added along the way to create one of my most favorite makes ever.

WOW! That is an amazing piece Hope! I can see why it sold so quickly. Those thorny sticks and the moss were the perfect compliment to the shrine. Thanks for sharing. It was definitely worth the time that you spent on it.

Omgoodness! So I was just checking my analytics and your video was suggested as a similar style? I don't usually get to watch a lot of extra videos outside my collaborations but I had to. You are my TWIN! EVERYTHING! Your projects, style, precious things, the way you get ahead of yourself, the things you said here, creative process and even your desk! I'm betting you also have an overactive brain and squirrel at times too. ❤This project is beautiful and so so me! I often use the arches and even made a few books in that shape. I use a spray varnish or sealer on things like your thorns. It may save you time (and pokes) in the future. 😊

I do use spray varnish on many projects, but I wanted to be extra sure that I got down INTO the branches well and covered every single surface. Plus, I had that varnish on hand...so it was good to actually use it. Thanks for the suggestion!
