Basic Troubleshooting. Not sure where to look next.

My first 126 had the platter slip down and sit on plinth while running and I was out of room for hours. When I fixed platter I had this problem. My guess is it damaged the motor. Wifes friend had a 126 for good good price, and with SAEC arm. so far all's good. I did notice second one had a lighter platter and different mat which prob takes a little load off motor. Piano music sounds quite stable.

No, I ordered a technics SL1200GR! My guess is the motor's torque no longer is in balance with the feedback drive circuit. I tried to find ways to alter the circuit's reaction profile to no avail.
