@@wizzenberry woah there, relax. That was not meant as an insult to how it looks. It looks amazing. It’s just that most wouldn’t expect it to be real so the quick assumption would be that it was a mod. I beat Valhalla and did another run with young Kratos and the glory of Sparta armor using a Chaos blades and runic focused build and it was absolutely awesome. If you’ve seen this game and these cutscenes as much as I have, the young Kratos skin really stands out and it’s so different. It’s very common for people to make mods like this, even if they don’t looks as good, and unusual for the devs to actually add something like it. It’s easy to assume that it was a mod at first.

Well Tyr was the Norse God of War and had tapped into various magic and fighting styles that Thor hadn't. Thor stuck to the hammer, fists and Lightning. Tyr uses blood magic (Presumably Mayan or Aztec?) Necromancy (Raising the Undead Legionairres? Though those might just be tied into Valhalla's own realm magic?) Sonic/Fire (Those waves of orange that fly at you), plus the different weapons from other Realms.

Both are holding back, as the story suggests. Kratos believes he can talk sense into thor, thor weakened by the poison and from his fight with the world serpent, that he just punched back in time. Imagine if odin didn't kill thor here and these two teams up.

If you play it in slowmotion. A great detail for me showcasing who’s stronger is that Kratos deflects each hit and yet Thor was being pushed back gradually each hit until he lost grip of Mjolnir while Kratos was relatively at place. It’s not noticebale at gamespeed and the shockwaves from their weapons colliding.

Thor's VA did an OUTSTANDING job in this game. all the VAs did, but he did one of the better jobs in my opinion

I think the saddest part of this is thor saying “he almost convinced me” like, things would’ve been so different

You can clearly see Kratos holding back with the classic skin. He does not beat him as hard as Baldur with his fists, and when he gets the blade into Thor's stomach, Kratos hesitates instead of going for a fatal blow.

Top tier gameplay! Somehow seeing this version of Kratos in the Norse realm fighting these gods makes him look more frightening. Makes me think this is the god he once was.

Thor is a genuinely warrior and battle Junkie in and out like a role model god of Viking was. He like fighting and overall, he respect strength. When Kratos best him instead of closing his ears and listen to his ego as Heimdall, he listen and argue with Kratos. You can always see that warrior pride inside him mixing in the exhausted old man attitude he have from serving other for nothing for too long.

It would have been better if the Young Kratos suit had modified Kratos' way of killing.

As fun as that would have been, the amount of programming and time it would have taken to individually alter each enemy's execution would have been such a big effort for something so small, a cosmetic. A great cosmetic, mind you, but that's not enough of a game aspect to spend time and money to program new executions in for.

It absorbs devine energy that made up the cosmic dieties of the Greek world. The Norse gods dont have anything to absorb, they are just strong mortals at the end of the day. Thor would just die without much fuss, or if Kratos wanted to he could disintegrate him with it, just as Zeus considered doing to Hades in the novel.

@@MrWhippss Hmm, the Blade isnt just created out of Heaven and Earth but all of creation, mixed with Zeus' blood and lightning. That was stated not in the novels, but some GoW 2 Lore from back then. It absorbed Zeus and Athena's power when they got stabed with it. When Hades was getting on Zeus nerves, he considered disintegrating him with a mere energy wave of the Blade. It provides an extreme power boost to Kratos. His strengh and durability surges to absurd levels. The Blades of Chaos btw grant him an very significant boost in power, speed, durability and rage. And if he lets them, they can increase these amps ever greater by absorbing life force of his enemies, but he holds it back in the Norse realms, since it fills his spirit with rage and unrest. Its ofc nothing at all to the Blade of Olympus, but in the Norse realms the Blades of Chaos, with the power and fire of Chaos and Tartarus are among the very highest weapons, even if they were fodder among the Olympian weapons like the Blades of Athena or Artemis.

Considering the Blade of Olympus at probably its strongest was at end of GoW2 and end of GoW3 before Kratos stabs himself,It would need less than a swing to evaporate Thor since It evaporated countless greek Titans that are considered to be primordial beings with a single swing by Zeus

I think Thor and the VA who plays him might be one of the best character villains ever in any video game.from the second youmeet Thor in this game you feel the power and threat he is, even before he ever swings Mjonir. His mere presence is so intimidating in the game. I think Thor stole the show in this game

It’s weird seeing Young Kratos like this, that’s why I don’t really like the skin. It’s cool but just doesn’t feel right due to Kratos changing A LOT.

After clearing the DLC, it becomes available to use afterwards.

This is not a mod, this is a new updates from santa monica, play on new game plus go to armor menu press R3 to switch Classic Kratos face,body appearance. and when you 1st arrives at sindri’s house. you able to purchase to Brok for the new chest, wrist, waist armor all spartan set.
