French Guitarist Thomas Viloteau plays his own arrangements of the Sonatas K380 and K53 by Scarlatti. The k53 was never arranged prior to this, as it presents very real challenges to the player. It is now published at l'Empreinte Mélodique along with K380 and other sonatas arranged by Thomas Viloteau and Gabriel Bianco.

@@lawcch thomas arranged these ones, and he's far older than Xavier. They both come from the same school, so it'd make sense that Xavier picked it up following Thomas

Bravo Thomas, ta version de la K380 est ma préférée (et de loin) sur YT. D'une grande finesse, vraiment. Par contre, si je peux râler un peu, je suis sur cette sonate avec la partition éditée chez l'empreinte mélodique (donc ta transcription et tes doigtés) et les erreurs ne sont pas rares ... À tel point qu'on se demande si ce n'est pas fait exprès ... En ce qui me concerne, pas d'inquiétude ! Même si j'ai suffisamment d'oreille et d'expérience pour savoir quand la partition est fausse, je ne jouerai jamais cette sonate aussi bien que toi ... Pas assez de talent ! Mais je plains les guitaristes qui n'ont pas trop de feuille et qui vont se prendre la tête avec (par exemple) le rythme incorrect du 3ème temps de la mesure 45 (vis à vis de ce que tu joues) ou encore le mi# de la mesure 56 (... non mais franchement !) etc ...

K380 simply stumbles and drags, musically speaking. I think that the performer should refrain from playing certain Scarlatti pieces.

It seems to be many ideas put together. I love it! Lyrical and melodic it takes the listener on a journey which is what music should do. We do not know what is next what feelings we will experience what vistas we will view.
