Old shape Henry has a smaller firebox. If you recall the episode: the flying kipper, pay attention to the area in front of Henry’s cab. It’s shaped like Gordon’s, with two sort of metal plates forming an archway. After the accident however, he was rebuilt to a different shape, and if you notice, now it’s no longer slanting metal plates, it’s more of a weird box. This is because they enlarged his firebox.
