To be honest, Scorch trials and death cure is shit. I liked the whole idea of discovering the maze. It ended too quickly.

The line "some of us a lot longer than others." Is both hard hitting and complicated. Like yeah Newt was in the maze for 3 years, but Thomas's memory literally goes back like a week at this point. Like the only thing Thomas can remember is working for wicked and the absolute trauma that comes with being in the maze. Newt at least has some good memories. Thomas has no reason to trust anyone but the gladers and newt wants to blindly see thing like they look

Newt only wanted the best for his friends and gladers as he felt responsible for them and loved them as his only family. He also has some terrible memories of the maze (the limping thing yk) but he truly has lived there for three years and remembers all good things and times they had (for example the camp fire scene, it wasn't the only camp fire for sure), he also had a lot good memories, it was his home. But he also knew they lived in danger because of the maze, the grievers and the dead ones. He must have been very delighted and thankful for everything they do for them here. He didn't know it was WCKD, all he knew is that they "saved" them, he couldn't know it was part of the plan. Like he said, they gave them food, water, a save place and a bed to sleep, all the things they always needed to work hard for or were impossible to get. He was glad that there were finally someones really caring for them. He only saw that they rescued them. It's actually only sad to see him being very happy about this all while it was only a trick again. Newt absolutely didn't deserve this.

My favourite part about this is how quickly the boys had his back even if they didn’t agree with what he was doing also RIP Winston he deserved better

Thomas was only stuck in the Maze for three days, it’s implied that Newt, Minho, Frypan and Winston were some of the first Gladers, meaning they were stuck in the maze for THREE YEARS.
