I hear you I've been married to my wife for 17 years February 14th of 2020 to be 17 years we were married but we've been together for twenty-two it's crazy how time flew by many times as I blew her off and she blew me off for years and then finally we wound up getting married we have three amazing beautiful kids and I can truly honestly say my kids are very well-mannered and they are very respectful and have a good head on their shoulders honestly say that cuz my oldest son is an A B honor roll student at a Christian academy private school my daughter attends it to me I can honestly say I know exactly what my kids do even when I'm not around then and the reason why I say that because I grew up without a dad and I know exactly if I had my dad in my life I wouldn't turned out the way I turned out but I'm not I am not saying that it's all bad because a lot of good came out of it too but being a father who I am it has his head it's not up in the clouds and he's not worried about girls he's worried about school graduating going to college getting a career then he said that I'll worry about that later which I think is amazing but I told you have to live your life I told my daughter my best friend was just my wife my only friend was diagnosed with gastroparesis 5 years ago venom five years my wife has had six major surgery has been cut from her belly button to her chest she has had half of her stomach removed so you did not work they had to go back in her again and take out the other half of her stomach then they had to cut her intestines where they put stents in side of her and then fortunately my third baby which is my second boy we found out she was pregnant bad news by the doctors so we we prepared for the worst and pray for the best seven months pregnant September 2nd 2022 had to deliver our son caizen who 1 lb to Oz after all that being said and done she still fought through everything fought and fought then after long we found out she had fluid around her lungs and around her heart and on top of that at the same time to the EGT machine came in with ultrasound and found out she had to hold on her heart unfortunately I freaked out and made things worse because I seen the look in her eyes after seeing all this and going through all this I honestly can say she is my superhero and I am so proud of her after all these years I she still in love with me and thanking the beginning when I met her was driving my 96 Dodge Dakota and was with a buddy of mine my mom was dating his uncle at the time and come to find out girl that he was dating a married to now crazy how things work because in the beginning we took each other as a joke then as we hung out I blew her off it's been history since then but the beginning it was a big joke I always think about that day when I met her I was in the truck I leaned up she slammed on their brakes backed up and said who are you in at the same time the same time my buddies put his hand and arm push me back in the seat and she said oh no what the hell are you doing here that's all bro KZread. You weren't supposed to be thanks bro I appreciate it the next two days to text and called me and I blew her off and then finally I met her and ever since then like I said it but history leaving my mom July 4th 2022 my wife after all this stuff that's going on I'm still brightens my day lights up my world and she gave me the best gift of all my three beautiful amazing kids she's the brains and I'm the muscleyou been by my side the whole time and she's never let go or jumped off but it's amazing how you can take something as a joke and then all these years later that be your best friend and be married to that person that person he married 17 it is crazy the song

thats my issue. Me & my friend are big wrestling fans. But shes taking a step and training to be a wrestler. Ill support her 100% but Im trying out as well. I even know if it came down to me or her making it to the WWE Id gladly step aside. Id tell her & I know she'd tell me not to but I wont listen. Geek Rusty yeah, and that’s why love is fucked up. Love always involves one person being hurt. I hate that four letter word so much, because it goes so far to try to sugarcoat pain and distress. It’s all a fallacy.

I sang this song for my final for my High School class. It brought my choir director to tears, and I’ll never forget that day. I just sang from my heart because my high school sweetheart and I had broken up a week prior, and the second I finished the song, all of the emotion was poured out and lifted. This song truly changed my life from that moment!

I actually hate the ending, because that’s not real life. Also, now you just have another guy who’s feeling the same way about her. So, you ruin another guys life to make yours better.

When I was in seventh grade, I met a girl who called me an idiot. 2 years later, we became friends unexpectedly. The following year I confessed that I had feelings for her, but they were not reciprocated. I waited, patiently, as her best friend. I dated other girls while she dated other guys (mostly a bunch of nightmares and assholes)... until one night, after being ditched by another friend... she invited me over to hangout. We didn't hang out much outside of school up until that year, but I went over anyway. We were hanging with her sisters and another friend, and then I ended up messing with her by tickling her (and her sisters helped). I nearly kissed her that day... but I stopped myself because she didn't feel that way. We kept flirting over the next few days until I knew for sure... then we started dating. For two years, we dated and I was the happiest I'd ever been. I didn't find my long lost soulmate, but I did find someone I loved whole-heartedly who helped me see the best parts of myself. Until we broke up about three years ago. I haven't been able to find love since. But she did. She started dating a guy. Then they got married, and they're having a baby if I'm not mistaken. Some days, I try to make it through without crying. Some days I have to wish her the best now. I'm genuinely happy that she found happiness... but for so long I just wished that it had been with me. I hope that now, after all this time, I can find it in myself to move on. There's got to be someone else, right? I'm young... at least that's what people tell me.

Know how it feels. I’ve known her & her family for years. Always thought I’d end up marrying someone else I knew. We’ve been roommates for a while. My only regret is not putting my foot up her exes ass when I should’ve. I remember our talk one night. How those words struck me HARD. I asked why she put up with her ex for so long. She said her ex was sweet at first but she became her weakness and roomie became my weakness. I never put it into my mind like that. But it’s true. Then she told me she was engaged. I was drunk that night which only sheltered me. We are just drawn to each other. She might end up marrying him but I know they won’t make it. My only regret is not giving into my demonic side and taking what’s rightfully mine.

You are going to love this girl for the rest of time. After many years and each of us a failed marriage I found my soulmate. We were best buds all through school although she was just a little older. We started dating and finallyi ask her to marry me after about a year and a few months. 2 days after xmas in 2003 she committed suicide and it's been this long and there is not a day goes by that a tear does fall when I think of her which is always. I'll never know but the loss is the same. I'm sorry that as an educated well developed society it has to come to this. It'll never go away.

Because I feel like this song will be how I feel when one girl I had crush on for years but she moved on and I wanted to get back together with her but she found someone new and it crushed me. I got out of a 3-year relationship a few months ago...We ended up being friends but she hadn't contacted me much or even at all. I still respect the choice she made, even though many things were said...If you still love her, care for her and be that friend that isn't gonna leave when the chips are down. Be there for her like a knight for their princess. Accept the fact that you are not the one she wants to spend the rest of her life with. I assume most people were like me the first time he heard this on the radio - I thought it was a love song, and then "she don't want to marry me" hit me like a ton of bricks. Just like "He ain't the only one giving her away" does every single time. Such a great storytelling song and is the reason nothing beats country music.

This is my favorite song on his album 😭❤️ damn the ending had me in tears though 😭

It’s easy to complain about the friendzone when it was never a real friendship but when someone is really your best friend you care about their happiness first and foremost. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to deal with and to this day I’m not Sure I’ll ever be over it but I know she’s happy and that’s all I wanted. I miss her like crazy, but it was never about me.

When I first heard this I thought this was a beautiful wedding song until the chorus hit. He had me in the first half. And every other verse that isn’t the chorus. I always forget this is a sad song.

I'd heard this song before but when I heard it the other day knowing where things are now it tore me up. The love of my life and I got married right out of highschool best friends the whole bit. Fast forward through some immaturity and unforgivness and we split and drank to bury both our feelings and pain. I moved on through regret. And so did he. Then I heard he got engaged and saw wedding photos. I also remarried. The day I heard about him remarrying though my heart broke in a way I didn't know was possible. I thought I lost him for Forever. Fast forward another 7 years and God brought us back into each other's lives and reminded us exactly how much love we had for eachother. Neither one of those second marriages made it. My heart never belonged to anyone but him. Now it's like the end of the video where they came back together. So have we.

Truly an incredible song! A super video too! One of the most underrated songs ever!

For anyone wondering this is the story between Thomas Rhett and his wife. They were childhood friends and one day when they were about 20 he got an invite to her wedding. Either his father or her father called him and told him to tell her how he feels. Well he did, she called off the wedding and the rest is history. Some parts of this may be wrong. I am not Thomas or Lauren so i do not know the exact situations.

I met my best friend at kindergarten orientation and we did everything together from then on. Everyone always said since we were so little that he was already in love with me but we always tiptoed around it. He's been my BEST friend above anyone else for 23 years.
