His best piece! In terms of orchestration, creativity, choice of instruments, mixing and ... PASSION, of course. My favorite and, as I bet one my deaf ears on it, One of Thomas' personal favorites, too. I wonder why this is relatively unknown.

The first track I heard from Thomas back then - and still as strong after 10 years as on the first day.

holy crap when the choir comes in...so much emotion with it...i love everything to do with them, separately and together. This kind of music lasts forever and never goes out of fashion..you can come back and be transported right back to when you first heard it and this piece reminds me of, just when you think all hope is lost...it's that resilience and fight inside you that keeps you going, you will never yield.

Think of Beethoven, Strauss, Wagner...Mozart. Bergersen is one such. Indeed, I can somewhat sympathize with Salieri: I stand in the shadow of greats such as Bergersen.

6:23 up to the end.... perhaps the most epic epic feeling in a song EVER. The way the song progressively builds up for that ending is just sensational... at this part you hear for the first time everything in full force, the choir, the bass everything... its just amazing...

Found out about this song around 2014-2015 from a comic book KZread channel called, "Brandon Hex". It came around a very dark time for me in high school when I was dealing with bullying and terrible anxiety issues. The only people around me where my best friends and my lovely parents. I am overwhelmed with finding it again. Thomas Bergersen made music for the ages. Something that, like all legendary things, is priceless. It carries like all great things powerful, divine emotion and it can fill us up with hope for tomorrow.

I've became someone rather dark and pesimistic, maybe the lockdown and being around people that live in some kind of underworld trying to pull me down helped to bring out the most negative parts of me... But... There is a call from within my soul that will not let hope die, dont ask me what it is, keep pushing even if you can only take minimun steps at this moment, we all have a universe inside, trust that call my friend... Trust it.

The best musical illustration of the mind. I discovered this during a Diablo-spec video. Since then I have shared my love for this music ten timers over. In my opinion it is his best.

Jesus this keeps ramping up and then you get a burst of that amazing choir chanting. These guys have so many albums both together and then the solo stuff that it gets overwhelming just how much music there is. I also love how their music twists sometimes like with the sort of arabian melody that happens in this track. Bravo guys. This goes beyond just listening.

Your literally taking about the Bible dude. We are made in the image of God. “Let’s us make Man in our own image”. We are indeed unique in the universe. We didn’t make ourselves, that beauty came from God who created music.

I feel like epic or legendary doesn't even begin to describe this piece. WOW

I love all of his music. I can listen to it for hours. Song has sensuality if you know how to feel and know the emotions behind it by not looking at the picture but listening to the sound.

Those are actually French Horns (or just horns), friend. They're a staple of the modern orchestral composition and arrangement techniques. It does feel like your soaring when you hear those and several other elements come into play. 😁

This track in particular out of all Thomas' tracks just screams awe, on a completely existential level. I can not NOT connect this track with awe on a cosmic scale O.o Woaw! How does he do it!!!

I wish that were true. Sadly, some people have very little imagination, and would 'see' nothing in their mind's eye even when listening to a song such as this. It must be a sad existence for them, but they don't know any difference. But, I agree with you that I enjoy this kind of music more than any other kind. It's not a popularity contest, there's no controversy over anything. It's just beautiful sounds strung together in an immaculate series.

The two songs, Aura and Illusions are so magnificent and brilliant and epic that I cannot describe the feeling of epicness I feel each time I hear it, and I listen to them several times everyday in my ipod from the day of their release. Its crazy how EPIC they are and Aura always reminds me of the happy version of Illusions!

I can see both scenarios. It's not unrighteous to fight for good causes. Conflict is woven within the human condition (conflict, for example, with our own vices and flaws, made manifest in galaxy-sized battles! At the same time, flying over lush landscapes and glorious mountains for no other reason than to view and appreciate beauty and godly artistry. Both are valid.

i feel like i am running in a large hilly field full of summer flowers. I am running to save the life of the one i love after having an epiphany that they really are worth saving after all. I just hope i am not too late.

For everyone it's different. You see the hero returning to life once again... I see a resolute hero making the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good. Dying in a blaze of her/his own passion and beliefs.

Songs like these are one of the reasons why i appreciate life. Absolutely wonderful.
