sorry to be the one that bursts everyones bubble, but the reason why Thomas kills newt (in the book) is because newt turns into a crank and he doesn't want to go crazy. That was a horrible ending for me however, and I hope that that doesn't happen in the film

You should insert that 'I trusted you with the note' piece of dialogue that Newt screams to Thomas in TDC right after 'he trusted you'...that would just kill us even more

Wow. Just wow. Your video is just as amazing as the books, it made me cry so much. Now I want to read them again. But I won't start to ask "Why did Newt have to die?", because I think I understand (a little), why the main/loved characters die in such stories. This may sound weird, but I really love stories like these, where the beloved characters are not "immortal for the plot". Not only because it's realistic, but because of the feels everyone talks about in the comments. When a fictional story makes you bawl your eyes out, it's absolutely sure that it affected you. You will remember it. For myself I can say, that I remember those stories more vivid than others. What I want to say is that these deaths make you feel and make you think, and that on a really high level. I am so sad every single time a beloved characer dies, but in retrospect it always makes the story more powerful. That's what I think.

I remember I cried when reading Newt's death, aside from the great bromance that was going on between him and Thomas, Newt was the character that made me want to hug him all day, all night (? The one I wanted to have present until the very end. Finding out he wasn't inmune was though enough and watching the movie after was rough too. This video brought back to me those sweet and sad feelings, but it was great, so great, I love it. You're amazing ;-;

i've been watching this video about once a year since jan 2015 (i watched it ALL the time when i first started liking the maze runner) and it still makes me cry. this has a HOLD on me

I can’t stop watching this. I always cry like crazy at the end too. I’m littérale a fountain with this video. What a good and sad one. Well, now we have that line "Please Tommy Please" and if I almost died because my heart hurts with this I think I’m gonna die in theater. Anyway, always a freaking good vid❤️

I've watched this over 40 times and I still cry every time. James Dashner is an amazing author and this is an amazing video

I know I'm so late but this is the first time I stumbled onto this edit and it is brilliant 😭. Why do I miss newt so much. This edit only makes it that much worse that he dies. You did it beautifully. Putting the book death scene over the scenes from the movies was brilliant and sad. Well done for making such a pure and heartbreaking video.

Wow... I usually don't write comments but under this video I have to. It is so sad and I cry like a little baby right now... WHY NEWT? WHYY? Hell, I'm still cursing James Dashner for doing this. Anyway, this Video is amazing. The editing is pure perfection and .... I can't describe in words how much I love it. Definetly my new favourite Newtmas video. Bye :)

i remember first watching this years ago. i never forgot it. but i moved on. and now, with the death cure coming out soon, i’m back here, and it’s so nostalgic and it makes me sad - because it’s been so long and this won’t come back. thank you for making this. i’ll remember it.

Hehe that worked out well didn’t it😬 sorry sorry sarcasm is my only defense but no I legit sobbed at that scene for months I still do to this day.

I haven't read the books yet but I asked my friend to tell me the story, when I knew Newt would die I was sad but I didn't knew it was so intense...

I am still trying to get over this. All I do, since finishing the books, is trying to relive every moment. Broke my heart. I loved Newt so much. You made me sob. Thank you for the amazing video!

and I just watched it again, and realized, that Newt is one of the most deepest characters in his feels, his emotions and just how he's acting. He was the one, who couldn't stand the maze any longer. Tried to escape. And I am still crying.

First of all.. I watched your video like 1000 times and will watch it even more.

LadyMagiccc You don't have to be sorry, I spoiler myself all the time xD He watched it because it was one of the best Maze Runner videos ever!!! You can be honoured. I saw a lot of MAze Runner related videos and hardly anyone was as good as yours. especially the shot at the end made it dramatically and let me go into the story once again although i havent read the scorch trials or the death cure. Omg I just can say again you did an amazing job x3

LadyMagiccc I'm almost done. The only missing part is the kill order. In the german book of it this part is an extra at the end of the death cure book. SO now I can watch and read it without spoiling myself :D

I knew about The Maze Runner before, my family watched it alr and also the The Scorch trial. I am not fond of watching movies actually I rarely watch movies. But one day I got bored and decided to watch a movie, I was in work at that time, I decided to watch the Scorch Trial (weeks ago) I had no other choice it was the only movie left on my Boss PC. But then after that I regret not watching it before, I hooked up at the story, so I downloaded the Maze Runner and The Maze Runner series (ebook) and boom I am getting too attached to the characters. Minho caught my attention when I first watched the movie, and then slowly...... when I read the Series ..... I noticed that I am starting to fall in love with Newt. And here I am now. watching every bit of fanvids of him. 😢😢😢

3 years and i'm still here.. this is the best and most heartbreaking edit ever

I thought it was hard enough when reading this bit in the book.... but the music behind it adds a WHOLE new set of tears. So thank you very much! :L I will go to my corner and cry now.

NOOO MY FEELS SMASHED ALL OVER AGAIN :( omg, just why -.- This is such a masterpiece once again I love it so much The soft colouring, and how all the scenes closed nicely together and the use of quotes were really fitting and gave more of an effect aw, hunnie I love this so much.. *cries* its so beautiful, and purely amazing♥

This is so sad!! I love how the book quotes are tied in to the movie scenes. Also, I'm watching this in the dark with headphones on and so when the gun went off, I jumped so bad. But I love this!

That's amazing! I've never seen such a touching video that surely made me cry. again. Great video!^^
