That was an EPIC throw. The Mootas actually helped too because they could avoid the storm. He shoulda just left the high templar with a couple stalkers to defend and base traded 100% guarantee win but that OCD of not wanting to lose a base gottem :P

Ive been using your ling drop to hydra build with great success at d1 lol. It works super well if they do a standard stargate opening. I always kill the 3rd if not outright win. Then i do a muta switch when they try to get collosus.

that last game was disgutingly lucky hahaha who would have thought the absolute mind games you did on him make him commit sudoku on his entire army with storms

You should do a challenge (not a series) where you try to fill an entire map with creep as quickly as possible. Against no opponent just for time

I'm in my quit routine, but seeing my main (early ling drops) done so much more effectively than I ever did them is inspiring me to pick it up again.

New zerg series idea. ''Brood war to grandmaster''. You are only alowed to do brood war units. Zerglings, hydras, lurker, ultras, mutas, overdrops, all those things. Obviously no baneling, no corruptors, no swarhosts and no queens 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

UThermal, I just saw a video of a Zerg player stacking their scouting drones while scouting. Then they split off as soon as they got into the enemy base. I can see this working for you.

Is it possible to do an Ultralisk drop? I have never seen that before

Wayne almost beat MaxPax with that timing Hydra Ling set up so it can work against protoss but maybe not at the highest levels. I think if in the first game he got a second battery overcharge then he may have held long enough. Also I would have broken the wall in and warped units in the main to flank but that is risky, but it might've owned Thermy.

I think you just had him so afraid he kept screwing up LOL

I believe its both. They get speed from the morph and then the overlord speed on it.

Hey Uthermal an idea to improve the hydra cheese: Hydras are really squishy they basically cost 150 resources but 6 zerglings actually have like twice the hp. You might be better off making 15ish hydras with the double hydra upgrades, and as you go across pull like 3 or even 6 drones off gas (to the third) and reinforce with lings AND hydras. The lings pound for pound are a lot tankier than the hydras against stalkers and zealots and mess up the ai of toss ground units too to draw fire away from the hydras

I did enjoy the desperate Storm in the last game. My question was, even if he survived the attack, what did he expect to do after wiping out his own Probe line on 2 bases? Should have just made Archons instead.

They have always been good. Problem is you NEED both upgrades and by the time you got both, a protoss could have 2 Colossai(with chrono boosts) out and shut down a Ling Hydra timing attack. 28 seconds faster now they can only get one and thats with Chrono which they might not even get if they decide to chrono w/e they are building. Thermy did that Ling drop as well and it slowed down production. Don't try this vs terran or zerg tho it sucks lol.

I think zerg got some good stuff this patch but the biggest glaring thing IMO is the baneling nerf. If you want to argue Banelings with +2 should not one-shot workers fair enough. It still begs the question of why would Banelings need a health nerf though. I think that is where you can draw the line in the sand particularly if you are advocating for this trickle-down balance because it's not like banelings at the highest level are not focused down in the PvZ or PvT match-up.

Speed upgrade research time reduced from 71 to 64 seconds. Range upgrade research cost / time reduced from 100/100 / 71 seconds to 75/75 / 50 seconds.

One thing you could do better I think is getting overlord speed, you keep losing overseers for no reason
