It's pretty smart tbh. Let's look at the facts. 1. Male characters don't sell as well as females TYPICALLY (don't come at me with your example, it's just true typically, not always) especially in CN 2. We've had Jiyan, Yinlin, and Jinhsi, soon to be Changli, all BANGER characters that more than likely 2 out of 4 you have pulled for leaving you high and dry with funds. 3. If he drops first in 1.2, alot of people won't have enough to justify pulling, and there might not be a new zone in 1.2, so they would lose alot of retention..... unless..... They drop the new 5 star for free, giving EVERYONE reason to log in, grind, build and play with a new character. It's very smart from a retention perspective.

I swear after witnessing the generosity of Kuro Games playing other gacha games has been miserable in terms of the amount of free stuff they give you. I tried ZZZ and Genshin after WuWa because I am not a gacha gamer usually and oh boy does it feel like they don't give you jackshit. Also, not having 100% pity on the weapon banner is a crime. And the kit of the upcoming free 5 star dude looks amazing. He's like Genos from One Punch Man but he is also teleporting through 4 dimensional cubes and shit.

A free 5 star unit, a substat reroll item, and a waveplate storage for excess waveplates. 1.2 looking to be one of the biggest game changing patch for wuwa on how it will cut the amount of time we will spend on perfecting our echo.

Also expect more free S rank units in the future (coming from a CN version player) and more free 5*s in WuWa ig. Maybe not as often as PGR but they'd continue doing it on pretty much every big occasion. Edit : oh and they're all meta units for anyone wondering who doesn't play PGR. So don't think they're bad just cuz they're free.

If Wuthering keeps being generous, more f2p players will join and - at some point spend. If Hoyo keeps being stingy, and ignoring their community, more players f2p will switch. I'm curious how long it will take for Hoyo to learn that lesson.

As a pgr player, This doesnt surprise me lol. Xiangli yao is a fan favorite due to him being an expy of lee from pgr. They mostly do something generous for their playerbase if they think this character is good to be free or more accessible to get or if the players like this character.

Funny thing this is pretty much kuro's motto. In PGR very few of the events actually end before the next patch so you don't have to rush them nor get fomo. Another thing that happened recently to me is that i took almost 2 months off from the game (PGR) and when i came back it triggered a returning player event, which includes a special story event, 20 Limited pulls and a LOT of currency and materials (Keep in mind PGR's pity is 60 and there's no 50/50 for the newest character banner so 20 pulls is more valuable than most other gachas), and that's was besides the current events which gave me even more free pulls, also the next "5 star" is free so i pretty much won't need to spend any currency until mid-august to get the new character. My point being Kuro's always been like this.

HSR and Wuwa, having patch long events, make them so manageable. Then you have Genshin impact that has had back to back events that lasted for like 5 days each.

But will it change everything? Yes it will.

Its been confirmed that we will get this character in event, thats crazy

Since we're talking about rumors here, there's another one surfacing that they are going to introduce a reroll item that allows you to reroll an echo's substat, but yeah it's kinda sus rn so take it w/ a grain of salt XD

We've had items like that in PGR so it's not that far fetched tbh. I'm not too sure about the free Yao tho. They have a history of giving out free new units every now and then but ye not sure what's the reason behind giving out Yao because it's still too early. I heard it's because they hit a big milestone but who knows.

Kuro knew that majority of the players are having a hard time clearing the TOA and Holograms. Thus, they're helping us by giving these awesome rewards.

theres something about having a selector that just makes it feel good. getting attached to a character YOU want right out the gate is a feeling most of these types of games should adopt. It feels so much better playing with a character you decided on instead of throwing yourself at the banners like crazy hoping to get something you really want thatll make your account feel like home.

@@ly-gamer7063 It's not confirmed. The leak source is just very accurate though, and has been since PGR. They have been wrong here and there due to Kuro changing things last minute. Everything they said about the upcoming units has been confirmed so far, though they were wrong about our Glacio girl being a support. They did correct themselves, and restated she would be a sub-dps that's still one of Jinhsi's BiS. With the gameplay leaks that dropped today, also proven true.

I am addicted to first decendent. But yesterday I unlocked the new area in wuwa and the area is fantastic

I never understood the need of gacha games to keep players in the game all days every day. That only leads to burnout and makes the game into a chore ruining every fun you might have otherwise and makes the "hardcore players" bored (because they got nothing meaningful to do anymore). I bet people spent most of the money in the 1-2 weeks after a new patch (with a new banner) released, but not later into the runtime of a patch. I still remember (and agree with) Chris Wilson (CEO of GGG, Path Of Exile, also a "live service game") who said at one GDC presentation something along the lines: We don't want players to burn out and we don't want them to play every single day. We even encourage them to try out other games in between. We only need to make sure, they know when they can come back to our game providing regular fixed points of reentry where everyone comes together again and tries out the new patch / season. I could see Gacha Games working a similar way. Ditch the dailies, make them weeklies if you must. Let players refuel their batteries in between patches / banners, keep a fixed shedule and make every new patch / banner into a major event, where everybody gets together recreating the "fresh start / release feeling" to a degree.

This is similar to Warframes "Respecting the players time" and I have poured hours into that game, still come back and catch up. WuWa might be my 2nd favorite game that appreciates my time and investment without worrying about resources unless I set a goal in game or finishing the events, if no goal had made I would just do my dailies and farm Flourite on Mt. Firmament for the weekly weekly echo craft exp, which also made exploring really fun.

That's what I've been saying! Kuro is like the DE of gacha. DE is still a different breed though. 😂 With that being said, I decided to spend in Warframe just because I feel like I'm getting more than what I give. I feel respected as a player. Now with Warframe 1999, I'm even more hyped. I'm about to do the same in PGR and WuWa. As a gacha company, Kuro is literally a black sheep. Sometimes, I feel like they hate money. Like this patch, giving away Noctis and 2 free skins then followed by another free S rank and free sfx skins for Alisa and her weapon.

Wuwa need to add end game where coop player's enjoy thats makes player's enjoy the game here they provide only endgame that genshin already had so there is no specific endgame designed by wuwa atleast get some reference from other games and just add some coop endgames that designed by wuwa team

Because people esp whales will find it worth to dump more money to max their stuff since the starters/first copies are basically guaranteed Look at nikke, they give 100+ pulls on their limited banner twice a year (anniv+half anniv) and those are also the periods where they get their biggest income I'm personally a light spender mostly buying passes in Nikke but during 1.5anniv they dropped 2 costume gachas for marian & crown and I got both. Also managed to MLB crown using the pulls I got from their gacha reward. They're $50 a pop, but at least it's not a 50/50. Meanwhile in mihoyo games youre gonna spend like $100 for each pity quota and you still have to deal with 5050 for both character and weapon. Fuck them.

Free 5-star characters, but in S2, it is possible to make everyone think about pulling the banner (like: "Hey, I already have the character; now it is easier to get a stronger one"). In PGR, this is a Kuro strategy. Sincerely, it is smarter than Hoyo and good too (having players who don't care about damage and just want to play with the character).

I also heard they're going to add a stamina storage system in 1.2, so you can take it even easier while playing this game. No pressure even if you don't log in for a few days because you're busy.

I didn’t spend any money. I got Yinlin, Jinshi, Calcharo, Encore, Verina, and Lingyang just by pulling from the banners. WuWa is definitely more generous than Genshin.

Is there controller support for android yet?

Hello, I'd like to get some opinions. I was planning to pull for Changli to pair with my Encore but I've been hearing that she doesn't synergize as well as I hoped because they both want a lot of field time. My current teams are Calcharo (hoping to replace with Xiangli Yao) Yinlin Jianxin, Rover Sanhua Verina, and I was hoping to build the last team to be Encore Changli Baizhi but am worried it would be better to just for Jinshi and pair her with a S5 Yuanwu and bench Rover or Encore. I'm a low spender who just buys battle pass and astrite pass, but struggle with ToA so I think it would be smart to prioritize what would help my account the most even though I wanted Changli. I also lost my last 50/50 so I'm guaranteed on the next banner and have about 14k astrite to spend. Any advise or suggestions are appreciated!

hmm evenr thought of changli chixia? I think chixia will fully utilize changli outro buff, and chixia is like 3rd or 2nd highest ultimate multiplier in wuwa currently

As a f2p player...i can say I am infatuated with WuWa. This is the first gacha game where I got THREE of the five stars from their banners and TWO of them with their weapons. This never happened for me in any Hoyo game. I would spend HOURS to DAYS grinding stellar jade and primos, just to lose every 50/50. No thanks Hoyo, uninstalled all their games that I had.

Yes what genshin does for the 4 star limited weapon in the event is annoying

My experience w the game is the same, I dont feel forced to play in fear of missing out on stuff. I only play when I feel like playing or when I miss the game. I feel like I wont burn out from wuwa the way I burned out from genshin and Im happy about it.

i played lots of gacha games. but theres like 7-8 that i’ve committed to and 2-3 of them make me broke my f2p/low spender status that i spent $300/month on them. those are HSR, WuWa and another game that potentially gonna be one of my top(other than the 3 i can get most of them by saving alone) so im actually really happy to see devs this open-minded and generous. heard that they gonna release for PS5 too

My fav open world gatcha game so far. The game is just chill I'm f2p and got some lucky pulls and didn't explore the whole map despite been playing since release

WuWa got me going, the only thing I seek for improvement besides bugs are character design, color pallet and etc. besides of that, it already has more than one endgame, one being super fun where u can play characters with selectable kits and the other regular combat like abyss. Also, WuWa has a great company behind the game! On the other hand we have a greedy P2W new endgame on Genshin, and also, natlan characters coming out as white people 💀 it’s Sumeru all over again, they do not listen… ZZZ has been the most fun outta of hoyo games, best combat, best personalities, best graphics and art style, I’m just in love, BUT, I miss more of the action part of it, sometimes I get bored by the TVs on exploration challenges and story, and the amount of loading screens on this game. The loading screen issue is getting me out of it. So for me, WuWa remains the winner

@@Dellima then make new games HSR and ZZZ better treat rewards than Genshin never got free 5* selector. You point defend Hoyoverse no value players popularity before HSR and ZZZ created implement from Feedback, Surveys, Customers Support and Community in Genshin put into new games non open world combat

Since you mentioned that its like i already have what i want in my roster doesnt need anything else, i want to say i still have 82 pieces of blue pulls and im UL 53. Yes, eighty two LMAO I can use it on the standard weapons banner but i feel i dont need to. I still have the beginner convene on 50 wishes remaining but still not feeling needed to pull on it. Since im skipping 1.2 pulls, i think ill use 40 of those to get that 40 pulls needed on the battle pass and thats it.

Good for you. I have been playing since day 1 and I still don't have a 5 star limited unit. I have even done most of the side quests. I haven't started the new patch yet, but the fomo feels bad man lol

HSR does the event thing as well and im all for it, sometimes i just ceebs or busy but knowing you have til the end of the patch is very nice.

Mtashed, tbh, I dont think ppl care about F2P status anymore. Because ur a guide maker + HATE Boring dailies system (which is not fun and ppl only do it for AStrite), just spend money getting one copy of NEW char and their Sig to test and make a guide is a PERFECT solution and it can relieve the burnout from covering/playing multiple Gacha games. U can also Support Kuro by doing it. It is a WIN-WIN.

Bruh Ive been buying monthly passes so I can get 5 stars and here comes Kuro giving some away for free, and its not even its anniversary yet

In PGR we get 1 limited which is 100% up also about 2 free character patches and give us enough to get every single limited character completely free. This isn’t new for them but since PGR is not too popular and the amount of Mihoyo people who switched over I can see why y’all think this is never been done before

All I wanted from genshin (even things I didnt know I want) I got in wuwa. I still love genshin since its my first gacha game but wuwa just feels a little better to play FOR ME. Cant imagine how is it like to start the game now with so many areas to explore (still have nightmares from Liyue exploratiom haha)

Same here, I'm pretty much satisfied from what I have & I'm not even a whaler. Not feeling the 'FOMO' like in Genshin Impact. This is the gatcha game I felt worth spending due to the company is being generous & listen to their customer.

i AGREE.. THIS GAME IS A BANGER! Oops caps lock, anyway, their other game PGR also gives free characters sometimes. It's their way of saying "thank you for your support of the game". Very good developer in my opinion, which is why I support the game by purchasing the monthly card and battle pass each month. The enjoyment and treatment I get in return is well worth the 15 dollars.
