I asked chatGPT to answer a mail from my boss and it failed terribly. Guess I don't need to worry about my job at this iteration of AI. ;-) But it's an impressive next step. Prior to chatGPT I thought jobs with lesser intellectual requirements would be first to be done by AI. Now I think it's easier to replace a lawyer with AI than replacing a taxi driver.

As an oncologist (who works at one of the institutions mentioned in this video), I can tell you that is hype. Please take this as constructive criticism but the questions asked were vague, naive and not well researched. “Cure Cancer?” What is the plan? None of the points made were novel. Targeted therapies, genomics, etc. have been around for a while now with only marginal benefit for cancer (rare exceptions do exist). He wants to start clinical trials in India. This is very good. India lags behind countries in terms of access to clinical trials. But to claim they are going to “cure cancer” (claiming it cannot be done in USA, but only in India) is an overstatement. This seems a Theranos-like situation.

Haven't watched NDTV for years except occasionally Vikram Chandra's show on electronics (on NDTV Good Times) which I thought was good. But it does look like he's not happy with PM Modi being praised by the guest, to the point of being aggressive in his questioning.
