I don't fault anyone for rescuing animals, I have 3 myself, but I'm absolutely against breeding to pay for it, it's wrong on every level. Steve is an absolute angel. I'd like to know how these people are now.

The first lady isn't rescuing animals. She only wants the dogs with the pedigree. Not to mention the fact that french bulldogs are manmade breed, with numerous health issues. She's no angel. The other two, are another story- a true animal lovers.

I would understand her taking in abandoned dogs and all but she lost my support when she admitted to purposely breeding dogs, it’s people like her that’s the main reason animals like the ones she claims to have rescued need rescuing, who end up sick, abused, abandoned or in kill shelters

The dog's she breeds are pedigree and she seems to do the breeding properly.. for saying she has had 41 dogs for decades now she doing an amazing job. She isn't contributing to the animals in shelters any more than other professional breeders using their pedigree pups to make more babies. I'd understand and probably completely agree if she had the dogs living in squalid conditions but she doesn't..

I am a dog lover & in my opinion they are nicer than humans they show you unconditional love no matter what you have done & also an amount of intelligence to add to it.

All the homes with excessive animals are well taken care of and the homes are clean of any waste. The animals are healthy and each one are shown love. The hoarders I normally see on KZread with animals are sick with the smell of waste that slaps you in the face walking up to the home. None have ever been outside nor seen a vet. The folks here have shown that they can take care of all the animals, their home, and themselves. I applaud them.

The lady with 41 dogs has them pooing and weeing inside sure, she picks it up, but does she disinfect after that? Didn't see her let them out to the backyard either. Aside from that, I don't agree with her breeding an already unhealthy dog (snub nose), but all her dogs have other problems as well, so I wouldn't call that ethical breeding, in fact she's no better than a puppy farm.

Anyone who seriously believes that these 41 dogs live in a confined space in a manner appropriate to their species and feel comfortable is fooling themselves! That has nothing to do with animal love, that's pure selfishness and irresponsible! Equally irresponsible is converting wild animals into pets.

I’ve lived alone with a pack of rescue dogs for over 9 years but our city’s max amount of dogs you can have is four. I cook for them daily,haven’t had 8 hrs sleep or a vacation since I got the first dog. 🎉But how these folks in the video can afford vet, food, etc., for all these dogs is beyond me, let alone all the cleaning up.

I really admire all there hard work and kind hearts towards the animals. I’m surprised how well they are all looked after considering the amount of animals they have. All the animals look so happy and well looked after.

Nothing wrong in loving animals, but do they have them for the animals best interests or their own?

These people really have big hearts but animals who are wild should be left in the wild or rehabilitated to at least live in somewhat of a replica of their natural environment. Not in a house 😳

These arent wild animals as they have been bred into captivity for generations and don't have the skills to survive. Some of the foxes of his are called Russian domestic fox (some domestic have curly tails and floppy ears like dogs...)

I absolutely adore dogs but would never consider living with 41 dogs. I couldn't afford more than the three I now have with the cost of dog food and vet care. There is no way theses animals are getting the care and attention they need to thrive.

It is no oneʻs business, that I love my animals. Whether it be dogs, cats or any animals, as long as they are taken cared of. They are loved, fed, health is good, house is clean. What I do with my life and my animals is my choice. You will not tell me what I can have, how many animals I can have or what to do. You donʻt pay my bills. I love these people that can have these pets and love them so much. They are taking care of them all. Good on them!! People in this world are just so unhappy, and cannot see how happy animals make other other people. Unhappy people will just be unhappy, no matter what it is. Keep up the animal LOVERS of this world!!! No matter how many animals you have!! 😘

These people are lovely and thank god for them ..those dogs are loved and well cared for ,anyone can see that shes a natural with them !

I mean... I have a good 30+ pets myself, and to an extent, it is an addiction, but the line really is if you can care for them and still meet the highest care requirements and keep them thriving... THATS the difference between a multiple pet household & a hoarding situation. I pride myself on my animal care. I spend hours a day looking after them. I know people don't understand it.

The young lady with the dogs seems on top of things.! If she can provide a Clean environment , health care, food and plenty of love than wheres the problem. I sense a deep saddnss, loneliness and/or lack of love in theres people. Its lovely they love their animals so much, though if they did the animals would be in shape, theyd be trained, theyd be taken for walks daily, or taken somewhere they can properly fly for a few hours, their living environment would be clean. I think theres a deaper issues which they use the animals to distract from. That kast scene was cute. I gope theyre both still together, well and happy ☺️

I commend that lady for helping all those dogs but instead of breeding more to fund she should give them to new homes with donations, keep the ones she absolutely cannot live without but rehome ones to fund and to also free up space for the ones at home for her and her husbands sake and to also ensure she can save more!

I had a blind pug and she was such a blessing to me. Ms Penney was a sweetheart and could go in and out on her own with other dogs.

The problem is the medical costs…I can barely afford the vet bills for my 3 dogs 😮 I could feed and love more easily, but how do I pay for them when they get sick or need dental care etc…I can’t even afford my own dental care! And what the heck does she do if she gets sick? Who cares for them then? Her husband doesn’t seem keen. The breeds she has are known for health issues too…yet she breeds more of them! I can’t imagine she sells enough pups to cover the costs.

It actually breaks my heart watching the dogs squabble over food. I have 5 and separate everyone at feeding time so no one gets left out or stressed out

I am seriously upset upon seeing this video. I cannot believe how these people apparently even see themselves as doing _anything_ 'good' for these animals. Particularly the 41-dogs-lady just makes me so extremely angry. She is BREEDING unhealthy dogs, owning only breeds known for suffering due to their genetic layout such as bulldogs which struggle breathing and so on. She has a THREE-ROOM home can in no way provide enough stimulation let alone exercise for the poor dogs and keeps them cramped up together with no chance for them to have their own space. That's textbook abuse and nothing else. She should be held liable and stop living in her delusions. It is beyond me how so many people here 'applaud' to these people, especially her. In my opinion, this appears to be much more about pleasing their personal egoistic needs without any regard for the actual well-being of these animals. While the man with the 60+ animals, for instance, might even mean well, it is in no way adequate to keep wild animals such as foxes cramped up in an APARTMENT let alone keeping that beautiful owl in that small cage. Again, also these animals appear to have far too little stimulation and proper care. It's a theme in nearly all of these households. I hope these people realize that too at some point because this is absolutely maddening and I feel for the animals.

Yeah, when they showed the dog lady I thought to myself if they would also show her walk all the dogs. It is just sad seeing so many dogs in such a small space with no exercise and on top of that breeding those frenchies... it seems she just wants to treat them like her babys and nothing else

@@katdee8328 You don't, which means they are basically neglected.. A dog requires at least 1 walk in a week at worst, no walking means you're neglecting their needs and it's basically an acute form of animal cruelty. Which the lady was supposedly against ¬.¬

41 dogs are ludicrous on hygiene grounds alone. No obvious and much-needed walks for these doggies and the cost of feeding alone must be crazy.The council should step in. The animals are clearly a substitute for human relationships.

Remind me how having that many dogs is ever kind? It's incredibly cruel for the dogs. They get no room to themselves, absolutely no space and no freedom. It's cruel and the fact they aren't all walked is neglectful (yeah some are walked but they're probably shifted around within a week and a dog should be walked once to twice a day).

How? I'll think it's going to far. I'll think they are sick. You cannot afford these amount of animals. They mean good but it's not realisi🎉. They need help. Not only for themselves but also for the sake of the animals 😢

As long as we make sure those animals do not breed we are doing our best for the animal world. You can’t help but save helpless animals who have been the victims of abuse and neglect. We should always protect children and animals the only innocence in this world.

Ok there is a lot to unpack with Steve. The guy obviously loves animals but he is in way over his head with all the exotics to get more would just land him in more financial trouble. He clearly needs therapy so he can deal with his depression and alcoholism (the red nose is really giving it away)

In my opinion there is no harm as long as they are safe and being taken care of. From what I see the house is clean and the animals are able to move around. I mean the love she has for them is heartwarming but I do feel like the number she has is enough lol no more than what she already has.

The dogs do deserve the love , but her husband does have a right to complain it is his home also and who is paying the food and vet bills ? I can imagine it is very expensive!

Did you watch the whole video? She pimps out some of her male purebreeds, and charges £1000 a pop. That's how she pays for everything.

These people's love for animals warms my heart. I wish them all the best. I love this I love this, I do. At least these animals aren't sitting in animal shelters, not being taken care of. They r loved on, and I love this. Pls keep going. I think ppl shld help them, like the gov. That way these animals will be fine. But only to the ppl being clean with it. U can't be cluttered or unclean. But I'm all for the ppl that do want it in a clean and good way. Go for it. As for the lady with the big house and many animals and having the insurance pay for them and be able to sale her stuff, I'm all for u rt now baby. U have yr babies, and take care of them. Omg im literally crying watching mary cry ..she seems to have such a big heart. I know people have opinions but it seems like her cats are her world. Just feel for her really.

Who will take care of them if you have emergencies ?

We had a resue dog that my family friend had to rescue her and her sister because they didn’t treat them right and the dogs are long haired chihuahuas but she’s doing great now but her sister didn’t make it through

I wonder if people would of bought tickets if they knew that the cat rescue was her dirty home

I just don't understand why they don't consider good homes for some of the animals. Doesn't mean they can't have some. If they and the animal's are struggling action needs to be taken. Even the lady with all the dogs seemed to take good care of them but all living in way to small of space.

These people claim the welfare of the dogs come first. So many of these dogs have deformities. Why are they irresponsibly breeding more puppies? Thier time would be better more valued in a rescue centre. Maybe a trip to a physiatrist would also be of benefit . These people are very selfish. They dont care about the welfare, health and terrible conditions the animals are forced to live in. The guy from Blyth has the best idea. Hes doing it to because he cares about the animals.

This is quite an old documentary-wonder how they are all getting along these days. I remember seeing this years ago-bloody mess. Don't care how many animals you have as long as you can house, care and afford them.

Well.. those poor dogs... thats horrible... They have absolutely no space at all, no freedom.. They live in extremely overcrowded enviroment. They aren´t all walked, which is extremely neglectful and CRUEL to those dogs. But the worst thing is that she breeds those already unhealthy and sick dogs and then sells those puppies to get money.. She is making way more harm then good- she makes tens and hundreds of new unhealthy and soon to be sick puppies and a lot of them will not end up good... How can anyone thing this is cute and nice.. This is the reason why there are so many dogs that don´t have homes... Because there are sooo many of them and selfish people like her are making more and more puppies.. This is cruelty.

Yes, too many for such a small place. There's a family in Oz, that has 21 dogs, cats, a horse, goats & they take on high-risk dogs from the local pound, training them & then getting them forever homes. They have 32 acres & swimming pools for the dogs! They care passionately about the welfare of all the animals they come across, as well as all the ones they own. It's a truly wonderful place, at times they do dog sitting, holidays, etc & deal with up to 60 dogs at a time & they all love it there!!

I hate how this documentary is hating on the animal lovers like their mentally ill or something. They are perfectly normal and lovely human beings who spend their days giving animals the best life. Honestly the narrator is AWFUL.

poor bullterriers they LOVE humans and 24/7 attention. But there are 40 other dogs urgh. I rather have 1 dog and give him the best live it can have than having tons of dogs with only a decent live.
