The wire crimping tool is made by KAIWEETS, model KDC01. It can crimp insulated and non-insulated wire ferrules from size 0.34mm² to 10mm² (22AWG-8AWG). The cable hand crimper has a high-efficiency ratcheting mechanism and a professional crimping die, unlike many cheap copycats, like the one, I am comparing it with in the review.
The crimping force of the pliers is self-adjustable, meaning you don’t have to setup the tool each time when you use it on a different size ferrule. All you need to do is just squeeze.
Using bootlace ferrules on your wires can not only make the connection stronger, in terms of physical force, but also reduce the contact resistance between the wire and the connector, and even help cut down the oxidation in the strands, because there isn’t much oxygen between them. The last thing can be improved further by using heat shrink tube, like the one I am showing at the end of the video.
