watch less streamers, play offline, try things and most important, have fun.

Yep , got a RedRebel as a SCAV on Streets in the truck on th midddle of the road near supermarket...Velion is cool but his voice is too loud and mixes badly with Jesse's audio. I don't know what he uses for mic but as he shoots a lot while talking it's sometime harsh and loud..maybe a compressor could help on his part...Good chemistry otherwise

I'm assuming "ratting" is similar to playing possum? Or does it refer to spawn campers? Sorry I'm not caught up with the terminology ya'll use nowadays. lol o7 EDIT: Great shot at 02:43 :)

Its people who, as soon as they hear other footsteps, go silent / prone usually in a bush and they just wait for you to walk into their sights. Its cause they have gear fear or something.

A rat is any player who goes into a raid, and just lays down somewhere, waiting for combat

"Ratting" refers to a specific subset of play-styles that are "low-risk, high-reward", that are generally seen as cheap and a bit scummy among "typical" players. An example would be players that spend the majority of a raid in EFT hiding somewhere on the map in order to survive until near the end of the raid and scoop up whatever loot is left after everyone else has left or died. Another is players who enter raids with the cheapest "effective" weapon they can buy and little other gear, with the intention of stalking high traffic areas in the hopes of getting a sneaky, easy kill. Basically, "rats" are players that actively avoid engaging in the typical gameplay loop in order to increase their loot rate and chances of survival. There's a lot of variation and crossover of activities "rats" partake in, which can sometimes include using exploits to their advantage. Thusly, "ratting" is somewhat of a pejorative, but also a badge worn with ironic pride by its members.

ratting is a playstyle that essentially is the opposite of pushing forward with confidence. camping extract, bodies, particularly difficult quest locations. anything you can do for less than braving it with your own skill is ratting.

Ratting is basically the smart play style of Tarkov. Chads run into my barrel and I shoot and take their loot. Simple as.

Ikr. I remember being introduced to the game and learning that most ppl stream to their teammates... iwas like oh so we just chesing huh? Fuck the immersion i guess. Games need to force ingame audio use.

I mean the massive advantage for solos to need no coordination and be overall harder to even detect because you have only one set of footsteps. Nades are easier to land and not risk killing a teammate, playing alone vs squads have their own pros and cons. Realistically only duos is kinda op but even still it's just the same thing to a lesser degree. I think it balances itself out pretty naturally

2:32 actually makes no sense, he's in a 8x scope, sighted to 150m, he doesn't adjust at all for the 400m+ shot he hits? This game is atrocious. He should have been INSANELY low on that shot.

The zeroing on scopes is beyond fucked, between being just plain wrong for the caliber youre shooting, to the increased or decreased speed of the round youre shooting. I wouldnt read too much into it since any shot past 50 meters is considered marksmen level distance (Shooter born in Heaven being 100m). In real life if you cant hit a man sized target at 100 meters with your service weapons iron sights you get put remedial shooting class.

thats kinda weird thing that happens in tarkov. if i take same scope and zero it 450, ill hit the shot, if my friend takes same scope and 150zero moves 3 dots/bars or whatever you call them, he also hits the shot. sometimes i have a feeling tarkov has no bullet system and its all random who lives and who dies based on who is aiming who and who is pressing fire button. edit:after task screen he's gun is zerod to 450.
